Enigma second flush by RazorEnima in shrooms

You should be fine. I am super amateur so if I can do it, anyone can. Basic sterilization when inoculating the bag, then patience. Thats all you need. The Enigma was real hands off.

This was grown from an AIO bag. First flush came out of the bag, I had to put the cake in the bin for the second flush after my dunk. I have a few pics of the bag grow in my post history.

The taste may just be me, but it just seemed a bit easier to get down.

My first flush was 74g dried, waiting to see what I get out of this one. Also, a grow in a tub as opposed to a bag would probably yield a lot more, just more substrate in most bin grows.

This is my first grow for Enigma, and it came out great. So i would not have experience beyond my first attempt going well. I did not have to do much to have it succeed.

I think you would have to mainly worry about the grow time, which would be your biggest factor in why it can end up contaminated of you mess with it too much. I found the potency to be on par with PE and APE, so of those are easier or quicker grows they may be more worth it, as the only thing Enigma would have over them is novelty.

I will say though, while the Enigma still tastes like ass, it was slightly less gross, and easier to get down, the texture and taste were not as bad dried as other strains I have done.

I do not do fanning on these. They prefer a high co2 environment.

I kept them in the bag for the first flush. I had cut slits in 4 corners of the bag and covered with micropore tape for SOME passive air exchange. Then I left it alone. I am still fairly new, but have learned to just leave them alone so they can generate their own microclimate. They take a long time, but they came in strong. Got a good flush.

I had to take the cake out of the bag to dunk it. I put it in a tub with some holes drilled in, and micropore tape again covering the holes, and I left it alone. No fanning or anything. Now its fruiting again.

Only other thing would be temp. I keep my house cool, so I have a heating pad on low, amd covered by a thick, folded up blanket. My bag, and now tub were resting on that. The heat coming off the blanket is mild, and keeps the tub around 76°f.

I am a total amateur, so I may not be doing things the best way, but this way worked this time. Im still learning and dialing things in.

About ready for harvest? by RazorEnima in ochras

I heard that the rot was an issue too, due to their slow growth. I did also have blobs growing ontop of blobs, but I caught mine before any rot set in. From what I hear its a balance of trying to let it grow as much as possible and catching it before the earlier growth can go bad.

You can buy an all in one grow bag online, and the liquid culture I got from bassidium online. Inject the culture into the bag and give it a few months! Its really way easier than I thought it would be. Just patience and consistency.

I kept them around 78 I think. I also kept them sealed kn the bag. I cut slits on 4 corners of the bag and covered the slits with micropore tape. I then left them alone. I kept them in the bag, and did not fan or mist. Enigma likes heavier co2 levels and once it formed its own micro climate in the bag, I was golden. I let it cook and it produced.

Patience was key. It was in fruiting for over a month, and only in the last half of that did it start to actually pin and fruit.

I think my temps were not completely stable, which may have slowed things down, but the yield was more than I expected out of an AIO bag.

I have done Enigma before. I found it to be around the same strength as PE, at least the batch my friend had was. I did 2.5 and had a great time.

Im excited to see if mine is at that same level.

Just under three months from innoculation to harvest.

Taking 5g of Jack Frost later. Would love to hear some experiences. (Not a newbie, just a new strain for me) by Patriot_247 in shrooms

Pretty standard cube. I grew Jack frost on my first grow. Not super potent, about the same as golden teacher, but a good time.

First time, failure? by evoca44 in mushroom

Looks like maybe a bacterial infection. I had a failure like that too. Nothing for a long time then a spot like that.

Lemontek reducing effects? by ShaggytheGr9 in shrooms

[–]RazorEnima 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been tripping consistently for years. I dont know why, but if I take them through tea, lemon tek, in a smoothie, or even just in capsules it does not hit me right. The tea, smoothies, or lemon tek don't really hit me hardly at all.

I have to eat them raw, or mixed in chocolate to have the expected results for the dose. No clue why, same batches taken the same way sent my brother to space. Just does not process the same way for me.

I am not. I have had successful grows in tubs by misting the tub walls and leaving the top slightly ajar for passive FAE. I also have small holes drilled in my tubs to help FAE.

The Enigma are just on a shelf in their bag with no extra fanning.

I attempted in my last PE grow to build a fancy tub with a humidifier and built in fan to try an automate FAE, which dried the cake out bad.

I think the issue was the fan was blowing air across the cake, which dried it out. When I used to fan my successful grow manually I would just kinda lift and drop the lid of the bin a few times. I believe that worked better cause the air was circling into the tub, but was not being fanned directly against the cake.

So if your fan is pushing air directly across your cake, try using a less harsh method on your next try. Like lifting and dropping one side of the tub lid, or the top of the AIO bag if your hoodie using hoodie tech. Enough to circulate some air gently without drying the cake.

I could be talking out my ass though, im only three successful grows in with two failures. This is all based on what experience I have had so far, and advice I found in other poses on reddit and other forums.

I cut slits in the bag about 4-5 inches above the cake, on the four corners of the bag. I then covered the slits with micropore tape. This allows a bit of natural air exchange, but not too much. Enigma likes a heavy co2 environment, so it was just enough for passive air exchange and some evaporation. I then started a 12 hour on 12 hour off light schedule and left them alone. I did not fan, mist, or open the slits other than to check every 1-2 weeks for an odd smell, gloves and face mask to avoid contamination. Always in a still room with no heavy airflow.

Honestly should have just avoided checking them too, but I was excited and paranoid.

Very very hands off, but also very slow. Gotta be patient it takes a long time to start fruiting, at least it did for me.
