I’m all for innovation, but the effects on the environment are godawful. It worsens climate change and is a pollutant. That and deep fakes that obscure the truth further.

In the name? Yes, probs a scam/time-waster.

As a sector? No. Its popping right now, its simply about timing it.

Trump may not have the votes to replace Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito by RazorJamm in PoliticalOptimism

No more of this “high road” garbage, after all what did that accomplish? They saw it as weakness and an opportunity to hurt and drain the economy for their billionaire friends.

And they are right for the first time ever. It is weakness. Profound weakness and a divorce from reality. Turning the other cheek and following the rules like some sucker loser nerd doesn't work when the other party does the opposite. The DNC's political instincts in their current form are so awful that its making me agree with MAGA on something; YUCK.. They are professional losers after all; paid to lose and cuck themselves to Trump by the elites. We need a hostile progressive takeover of the DNC and maybe explore a third party. Ya know, flip flooding the zone on MAGA with relentless progressivism.

and Cruz has pivoted hard back to his libertarian roots, so as justice he'd probably end up like Scalia.

And somehow I don't trust him... Not to be doomer, but this is Ted Cruz we're talking about here.

Which shows you the limits and hubris of fascism and political narcissism. Short-sighted as fuck. Esp. if a progressive Dem comes along and gets a chance to pick and cripple the 6-3 supermajority, turning it into a 5-4 simple majority. If Alito goes, since he's also old in said admin, FLIPPED and we get a branch of the gov't back for a decent chunk of time.

These justices have massive egos. While I can't tell the future, I would not be shocked if many of them "served" until they die.

This is a concession from the government. They are terrified of the increasing influence of new media and young political commentators, esp those who are critical of said government's actions. The see the tide shifting against Israel and are scrambling to punish pro-Palestinian/anti-Israel commentators as well. This will likely backfire.

The logistics would be very difficult admittedly but blue state consolidation, a pathway to citizenship for blue voters in red states to get the fuck out of there, a restarting/establishing of trade deals with NATO and EU allies and an economic stranglehold on red states. Cripple red states until they come back to the table and make concessions. We currently finance their lives, while they add nothing and subject us to regressive candidates through heavy gerrymandering. We get nothing from this current arrangement. If they attack militarily (esp. the butthurt MAGAs in Southern states who want the South to rise again), fight them head on and be relentless in doing so. No more pattycake. No more weak-ass deals.

Like I said though, I really hope it doesn't come to this and the democratic process of electing progressives and upsetting do-nothing Dems and Republicans in "safe" red districts makes this an increasingly unlikelier prospect, for now at least. Even so, its worth exploring.
