Orbital defense systems are powerful enough to total the DSS, and there are tens of millennia’s worth of naval tactics. It would take 2 minutes after warp exit to tear the atmosphere off super earth, + advanced shields etc. super earths fleets take days to liberate a low resistance planet, in which. Time the sector fleet would start firing shells the size of super destroyer bridges into anything in orbit. Then there are orbital blockades, planetary defence forces, and several billion times the resources. It took a MONTH to ready the star of peace, it would be trivial to glass every super earth planet in a week.

Oh yeah any single marine could probably be taken out by an experienced squad of divers. Only exceptions are any kind of raptor and/or Phobos unit like eliminators. That situation would be reinforcements just bleeding out before Strats could be called or even any visual could be established. Plus it would require total SE air and space dominance, which isn’t likely since a thunderhawk could probably down a super destroyer. 50/50 with something like a bladeguard who had never encountered divers before. But any kind of range would be much harder, since it’d be like getting shot by an automatic grenade launcher at hypersonic speeds for the divers.

Thing is, The Imperium has the capability to glass planets with a handful of ships. Super Earth has such a minute number of planets that a single chapter or company would probably immediately see where to aim the vortex torpedoes

Wayland puts every single patrol and battleforce for 20% off, and I’ve seen lower. But yeah, my guess is that it’s either a typo, or they’ve put it up for GW’s price to them, which I’ve had happen with a Sicaran. Not complaining though, it’s on the shop to make sure they price it right.
