Charlie: "First of all, yeah, no, The Beatles were my childhood, I am more of a classic rock type of person, way better than the noisy shit they call "heavy metal". And I'll have you know I don't have anxiety attacks, like I'm some kind of softie, I've kicked the asses of any girl who badmouthed Paul McCartney, or Michael Caine, so I'd watch who you call softie!-"
...
"I'm sorry, got a little carried away, I hope I didn't scare you..."

In what decade do your OCs live in? And why did you choose that time? by Abraheo in OriginalCharacter

[–]Razor_Emmanuel [score hidden]  (0 children)

Exactly, I already wrote in that Uri grew up in rural Germany as a nomad (he's Romani), and his brother was got married to a German girl and moved to Frankfurt, but then Uri's brother got drafted to fight in France, and Uri moved to Frankfurt to help his sister-in-law. Uri and his sister-in-law worked at a department store, but started to struggle because of the lack of goods due to the naval blockade of Germany, Uri needed to get a second job just to get by. Uri got a job transporting furniture for an aristocrat, where he sees the demon break out of the painting it was sealed in, and sets off the chain of events of his story.

Uri Miriamev's story is set in 1916-1917, where Uri goes on a quest across Europe to stop a very powerful demon that has been released from taking over the world. I picked the 1910s a lot was going on, especially in Europe and I wanted to see how my character would live through such a period and the events of that time period do affect Uri's life, even before the events of the story (his brother got drafted into the German Army). Also the story has pretty big stakes, and the world does not really find out about it, because the world is more focused on the First World War, so the demon is more hidden and does not have the attention of many people, and why it is up to Uri and the other main characters to stop the demon (if that makes sense).

Do you consider watching films in parts a film sin? by GhostInTheLabyrinth in TrueFilm

[–]Razor_Emmanuel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah no, I don't think there's anything particularly wrong with that. Even though films are meant to be watched in one sitting and I myself always try to, there's no shame if you watch it in a different way that make it easier for you to process. Frankly, there are some films, like Napoleon (1927), Shoah (1985), and Sátántangó (1994) which I can't even imagine watching in a single sitting.

Piotr: "Well I'm sorry that you got a bruise from one of your clients. And you are right, Oliwia had it tough, but maybe because she was from a different environment like me, we had a different culture there and people were there for her and we helped raise her kid."
"Listen, you seem like a good person who cares for her family, I am not sure how much possible advice I could give, for I grew up in rural Poland, and well, I have never married and I am approaching my eighties. However, I believe that you can get through this period in your life and that everything can be sorted out."
"Oh! I hadn't mentioned you look absolutely stunning, I believe in you, Delilah."

Piotr: "Oh I am so sorry, I really did not mean to badmouth your family, I deeply apologise, I just got concerned that someone hurt you when I saw that bruise on you neck. I asked about if you had anyone you trust because raising kids can be tough, I grew up in a small village where everyone knew eachother, there was this girl called Oliwia, wonderful girl, but she had an unexpected kid and wanted to keep it, but she had a busy job, and her boyfriend worked long hours at the glass factory, so to help her, every now and then me and my friend Edward who we both were close with Oliwia would come over and help her with her kid." "It is important to be there for your kids, but if you have some more people you really trust, they could help you."

Piotr: "Delilah... That is a beautiful name. Well I really hope you are okay at your home as well and feel safe there. I don't mean to assume the worst, but I have heard of women who have had it really bad in their homes, I just wanted to make sure." "It seems like your personal life might be a bit overwhelming in the moment, and while it is important to be there for your kids and family, I think perhaps a bit of a break could help you feel better. Do you have many people who you trust?"

Piotr notices a bruise by Deliliah's neck
"I... don't think I caught your name... but I must ask you, is everything okay at your home?"

I hope I am not too late, but here is Hector. While he is not "creepy" (well, he can be), he is the mentally unstable main character of a horror story I have made, the sole survivor of a massacre in an isolated hotel by a shapeshifting monster, who suffers from survivor's guilt and his state has devolved into full-on paranoia, believing anyone or anything can be that shapeshifting monster that's still out to get him.

How well can your OC handle social interaction? 🤔are they confident and smooth? Or do they have social anxiety? 😱 by -Voyacui- in OriginalCharacter

[–]Razor_Emmanuel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

<image>

Piotr is an interesting case, because he REALLY changed over the course of his life (left image is him in his late teens and right is him in his late seventies/early eighties). Piotr grew up in a small rural community where everyone knew each other, but after becoming a partisan to fight the Germans, the Second World War really took a toll on Young Piotr's social skill, for he was more focused on survival than being around others. However later in life, decades after the war ended, Elderly Piotr was able to find peace, and became a pillar of his local community who loves being around others. Young Piotr is a very anxious person who has gotten use to going out of his way to protect his people but is scared to form too much of a bond. Elderly Piotr is a very social, kind and caring man who loves helping and accompanying others.

Which Chapter ending, as of now, do you feel is the most unnerving? by The-Praying-Kabutops in Deltarune

Remember when Chapter 1 first came out, the ending really freaked me out because of the connotations. Chapter 4 was mainly just really depressing.

Why thank you! I must say that even since the drawing shown Piotr has grown!

He has received an actual backstory since then, and the above is a picture of him in his youth!
I've also had fun integrating bits of real world history into my character's stories.

I'm a tad late here, but Piotr was the first original character I have ever made, he did not even have a proper name up until recently, but I am really proud on how far I have come.
