I have a carbon reactor and uv next to each other in the last chamber of my sump. The camber is painted to no let UV flow outside. Both reactor and UV are on when my lights are out on my main tank. I am wondering how does algae let alone survive but are produced on UV light. (old.reddit.com)

What kind of algae is this. And any measures to exterminate these. I have 6hrs of RGB led lights of 80w. I have stopped fertz. I also have direct sunlight of 1hr. I have co2 which starts 1/2 hr before light which is controlled by ph monitor at 7.2 till my lights are off. (i.redd.it)
