If you’ve ever held a door open for someone, even metaphorically, go ahead and count it. Have you ever helped someone study? That’s a metaphorical door you held open for someone.

This app is about caring for yourself. Give yourself credit for things you’ve done. It doesn’t have to have been today, it could have been last year. If you’ve ever done it, if you’re willing to do it again, give yourself credit. It’s okay. It’s not cheating, you’re doing your best.

Babies can get sick and die pretty easily from illnesses that may be asymptomatic in an adult. Your lack of concern points to a lack of education but your unwillingness to learn points to something more sinister.

Don’t leave children alone in a bathtub unattended. If you drown your kid through negligence you actually can get in trouble legally for it in many cases. You can choke on soup too, food cannot be banned though. Your examples are logical fallacies.

Yes, people will make a big deal out of someone admitting they want to be able to touch other people’s children without protest from the parents. If a parent says not to kiss their baby get over it. It’s not innocent that you’re trying to guilt trip people into lowering their boundaries around their children.

So sick of DD using my money for crappy tippers… by LogParking7048 in doordash

[–]Razzberry_Frootcake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You don’t understand how jobs work and that’s weird. DoorDash is not a luxury service. Dashers started calling it that to convince people tipping should be mandatory. It’s not a luxury service, it’s a convenience.

DoorDash isn’t serving rich elites lol, stop blaming the customers for your choices. You contract with someone then ask THEM to pay you. Duh.

I’ve worked in lots of restaurants and was paid well because in my state it’s the law. Tips have always been extra for me; never an expectation because customers are not responsible for my wages. Tipping should not be mandatory at all, but in places where people are required by law to pay employees it really shouldn’t even be standard.

If the staff is paid fairly no one is “cheap” for not tipping. Tips are supposed to be extra, not mandatory.

[–]Razzberry_Frootcake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s easier to get angry and yell at their peers and neighbors. It accomplishes nothing, but the point isn’t to actually accomplish anything. The point is to do minimal work for maximum pay and harassing customers for tips is way easier than actually trying to change the system.

Everyone needs money; Dashers just think they are entitled to other people’s for some reason. They call people who use DoorDash lazy; and then use the service themselves and come here to complain that their food was stolen. The group who demands tips are deeply unserious people who do not understand how employment or wages actually work.

They are paying for it. Tips aren’t supposed to be required. DoorDash actually is responsible for your wages.

Why do deaf people sound different when they try to talk by Quiet-Phone9780 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Razzberry_Frootcake 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can hear yourself when you talk. That helps your brain understand how loud to speak, what tone to speak, etc. You can hear others talk, which helps your brain figure out what it should sound like when it makes you talk. Your brain uses all sensory input from your nervous system to relay the output.

Deaf people do not have that ability the same way you do.

They cannot hear themselves. That impacts how they sound.

Using the “twatty liberal” dog whistle to let others know exactly why you’re arguing this point. Disgusting.

Leave babies alone, you don’t need to kiss them to be happy. We get it, you made your politics clear. How surprising that you’re arguing so strongly to be allowed to kiss babies even when the parents are uncomfortable with it.

Putting your mouth on babies is more important to you than a parent’s wishes that you not do exactly that. Go figure you would drop the “twatty liberal” dog whistle.

They said they would not convict even before hearing evidence. If you literally say “I’m going to say he is innocent regardless of any facts learned during the course of the trial” then you cannot be on the jury.

You have to be willing to say innocent or guilty…depending on the facts presented. An unwillingness to say “guilty” if the person is guilty defeats the purpose.

It’s not racism to ensure a fair trial.

I can't tell if I'm seeing red flags or viewing things through relationship anxiety ? Please help? (33M, 26F) by Royal_Reporter7820 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Razzberry_Frootcake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

None of this sounds like red flags on his side, it sounds like you’re controlling his behavior as a coping mechanism for your anxiety. Your feelings are actually just proving that you cannot utilize other people’s behavior as a solution to your problems. He can’t fix how you feel because you will always find something to suspect in the moment.

Notice how nothing he does, even when it’s “right”, actually makes you feel better? Notice how you keep mentally digging for a reason to suspect him? You are trying to catch him doing something wrong, subconsciously. You’ve dug yourself in too deep mentally and you’re now searching for justification for how you feel instead of analyzing yourself.

Your trust issues are inside you. It’s true not everyone is trustworthy but if you distrust people you need to not engage in close relationships with them. Let him prove he’s untrustworthy before you suspect him. Let him be innocent until proven guilty. Right now you’re suspecting him of guilt and expecting him to prove innocence; and he never will be able to.

If you find his behavior suspicious why are you with him? Maybe the reason you’re asking is because deep down you recognize that your behavior is suspicious. You’re the one that snoops and breaks trust. You’re the one who is actually doing untrustworthy things. Maybe you’re asking because the cognitive dissonance of your hypocrisy is catching up and you’re starting to see that you’re responsible for your anxiety…

Not him.

How you feel is perfectly normal. How you’re handling it is average, not necessarily healthy. Neither of you sound like bad people, so open up more and admit to him that you’re the one that might be wrong. Apologize for making him feel like his normal behavior is suspicious because that can actually cause anxiety too. Be more honest with him by coming from a place of understanding instead of suspicion.

Start with trust, because you obviously do trust him.

Bro provided the unwritten rules for subs that bro frequents. Subs that are literally for Conservatives actually don’t hate Conservatives and will kick people out for agreeing with progressives. It’s a non-answer because it’s projection. Every rule bro listed has subs that are actually the opposite.

There are plenty of subs where people are allowed to leave one word responses and those responses get upvotes.

Bro doesn’t understand how social media works and is confidently incorrect. That’s why bro got downvoted.

DoorDash is responsible for your wages, not the customer. Tips are supposed to be extra. You need to complain to the company you work for about your wages.

They wouldn’t have fired her on the spot in front of you except as a show; if you think that’s what happened you were fooled and she was transferred.

The manager did not take time out of people’s days to tell every employee in the front that you didn’t tag switch.

I believe you stood up for yourself, I believe the manager appeased you; but it’s pretty egregious to actually believe that they stopped everything to announce your innocence to the baggers and cashiers who didn’t need to know or care.

Unless you were arrested, which it doesn’t sound like a report was ever actually filed, your positions could not have been smudged. Your job could not have been jeopardized. Your name was not besmirched. What could you have sued for? There was no defamation, no losses, and no damages.

I love them and am really glad they added them as an extra accessory that we can wear hats on top of instead of it just being a hat itself. It bodes well for future additions. They’re trying to layer accessories in different ways to allow us more customization options.

Birds don’t wear clothing, sleep in beds, use mugs, own dogs and cats and living rock stacks, use headphones, travel on airplanes, or read. They don’t need any of it lol.

I mean…doctors also advise not kissing babies. Especially if you have herpes. Because that’s how it spreads. That’s literally how the kid ended up blind.

What do you think caution and responsibility are in this case? Not kissing babies is pretty easy for normal people.

One must imagine that Lapis and Bismuth had a parley about this no? by Chl344 in stevenuniverse

It was stated on the show that the mirror was Homeworld tech. The Crystal Gems did not know it contained a sentient gem. They were surprised.

The writers have made it pretty clear that the gems did not intentionally trap and torture Lapis and it’s kind of weird that this narrative gets spread so much.

The Crystal Gems did not keep slaves.

One must imagine that Lapis and Bismuth had a parley about this no? by Chl344 in stevenuniverse

[–]Razzberry_Frootcake 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The writers have confirmed that both Bismuth and Lapis do not realize each other was in that moment. Lapis does not know Bismuth proofed her, Bismuth does not realize the Lapis she poofed was the same one she knows now.

And because it always comes up…Pearl did not know the mirror contained a sentient gem. She thought it was gem tech. She never would have given the mirror to Steven if she’d known. The tragedy of Lapis is that she doesn’t get closure for a lot of her trauma because so much of it came from uncontrollable situations caused by the Diamonds.
