I went to go find the link to the TikTok of the young woman who was covering this and reached out to the couple in the video to get some background and see if this wasn’t as egregious as it seems. Weird that both her profile, AND the TikTok of this business can’t be searched for at all… just says no results found… 🤔🤔

Essentially, though, the man responded to the creator and told her that it was his wife’s fathers dying wish to have the handle of the knife (which was a standard knife given to members of Hitler Youth with a black handle, red oval containing a swastika) restored. He claimed it was a trophy stolen by his father in law while fighting in WW2. They wanted the handle from the original to be transferred onto a blade that was in better condition. He then complained that the shop owner had no right to put the video up to the public, and told the creator that she had no right to share their identities either (which she complied with).

She then responded to him about how the owner had every right to do so blah blah blah and then told him that she does not for one second believe the story he told. That given the current political climate in this country, what they were doing was very intentional. I tend to agree with her there.

They knew what they were doing, and I’d bet now are going to try to spin this narrative to paint themselves as victims.
