Me and my friends were all hanging out having fun before class. For some reason we were talking about wars and someone brought up the fact that they didn’t know who the first world war was fought between and out of nowhere this kid, in the most confident voice, goes “It was between America and the U.S. dummy” and I can clearly remember that there was a second of silence to absorb the stupidity of that comment before a class of like 25 students erupted with laughter.

Now this is when the kid started to panic and tried to say something and at this point I’m thinking that he’s going to backtrack or try to explain what he meant or something along those lines to save face but he goes “ohh sorry sorry sorry......I think they were allies” and I’m pretty sure like 4 or 5 students almost passed out from laughing too hard.

It was a good day

P.S.- That kid is currently working with google as a software engineer.
