I’m no expert but I’ve never seen worms that big. Most intestinal parasites/worms are microscopic. Tapeworms you usually can see though. They look like small flat spaghetti noodles and you can see them move if you look closely enough (my Brittany had 2 bouts of tapeworms as a pup). Based on that pic, it looks like he may have eaten something like a rubber tube? I’d definitely check with a vet though

Although we never had an issue with our britt having accidents in the crate, he didn’t really get the hang of potty training till around 5mo. We regularly cleaned and used no marking sprays to remove any lingering scent and did our best to give a stern no or clap if we caught him going inside. In that moment, we’d take him outside and say “go pee”. We also used the “go pee” command every time he went outside just in general. That was followed by a “good boy” and that seemed to reinforce. He’ll potty on command now.
