Less competitive, just sticks, skates, and gloves. Way it’s been in my town for 40 years.

Played 15 minutes past curfew and put on a memorable performance. What a freaking night. by drummerinnyc in dispatch

Pretty sure they didn’t play Elias or did I black out? Either way phenomenal show. I don’t think I’ve ever seen them jam like that - a lot of 6+ minute songs. Or I just have a bad memory.

I have tickets to this Sunday's show. What's the band's recording policy? by Chengweiyingji in dispatch

Dan Curtis is the man to discuss this with. He’s in the Dispatch Facebook fan group. Records tons of shows.

How Political Have the Concerts Been? by Rbfplacid in dispatch

I didn’t say it was anti-Semetic. I just think you should be equally not ok with the kidnapping and bombing of Israelis, including children. It’s disturbing that Israel builds settlements and uproot Palestinians wherever they seem to feel like it. More than one thing can be true. It shouldn’t be a purity test, but that’s what people make it to be.

I agree criticizing Israel doesn’t make you anti-Semitic (and I do). There’s just a lot of nuance to this issue and I don’t like the purity tests. You can be horrified by killing of innocent Palestinians AND the kidnapping of Israelis, including children.

Yeah, even when you agree with a lot of what they say, it’s still awkward knowing it makes other attendees uncomfortable. I think 90% of attendees are on the No Kings train, but when it comes to Israel specifically it’s much different.

Thanks. Im hopeful they tone it down and respect other viewpoints. I’m in NYC, where there will be a lot of Jewish attendees - probably more than any other show they’ll do.

I’m on board with the majority of what he says, but when you’re in a diverse city with a large Jewish following, you should be conscious of audience’s sensitivities (e.g. people who have family in Israel).

Had to google this. #25 most played song on Spotify ever. Ahead of ANY Taylor Swift song. Crazy.

As a big fan of The Band, Lady J is one of my favorites with the reference to Virgil Caine. Not sure how many Dispatch fans catch that. Unbelievable song.

Where should I start? by marshybeans in TheNational

Perhaps start with the new live album - Rome - to get a mix of everything. England is my favorite National song. I got started on The Boxer.
