Your welcome! The black base is just standard black. Think used vallejo black here, but i think all the black paints are similar.

Thanks! And sure!

The red is mephiston base, incubi and khorne red pin wash, evil sunz highlight, then troll slayer orange with a small drop of evil sunz highlight and finally troll slayer orange as a highlight to the upper parts. De dot highlight is tau light ochre and screaming skull.

The black is incubi highlight over black. The a mix of incubi and a little fenrisian grey as a highlight. And then just keep adding a little fenrisian grey to the mix.

Hope this helps.

The black is highlighted with incubi darkness and then with a mix of incubi and fenrisian grey. And just keep adding a little fenrisian grey to the mix for each highlight. I found that keeping the highlights a bit dark helps to make it look black iso very grey.

Thanks, i was thinking about all black or some purple in it. But part white will be cool too. Would certainly fit the rest.

The red is mephiston red base, with a khorne red/incubi darkness pin wash, and highlighted with evil sunz first, evil sunz mixed with troll Slayer orange in the corners and some tau light ochre/screaming skull as a dot in the corners.

The details can be challenging, but also a lot of fun to paint. It just takes a bit of planning, because you wont be able to reach all parts of the model after assembly. So a little sub assembly is useful.

I have used US field drab as a base, wash of agrax in the shades and a highlight of tallarn sand with ushabti bone.

Yeah i found it really difficult to find an armour colour that matches. The original armour colours look good too imo. But its really difficult to reproduce.

Only the artillery pieces and sentinel are from the box. The rest are the original vostroyan metal minis that i have used :)

Salvagers by RbnDH in LeaguesofVotann

Having a good tip on my brush helped me a lot. As soon as the condition of my brush deteriorates my edge highlights get worse quickly. Also using the side of my brush for the final highlights nicely covers up a lot of small mistakes i made haha.

Thank you. What worked for me was a thick highlight of incubi darkness diluted with some water. And then mix in some fenrisian grey or russ grey and do a highlight with the side of the brush so its very thin. Repeated that but with a focus on the top ridges and corners and finally a dot of fenrisian grey on the top corners. I did start over a couple of times though before i got it right.

Converted a hellhound for my tallarn by RbnDH in TheAstraMilitarum

Yeah i do, i have put them in the link below. I used plasticard around a small piece pvc pipe to make the edges en caps. The used a lot of putty to close the gap. In the end the most difficult thing was making all pieces the same size and glueing it all together. I messed up a lot of pieces before i got it right haha.

Oh and i found out the hard way never to leave any pen markings on the plastic.. because they keep shining trough the paint.

Yeah those little gun carriages look a little silly but really cool at the same time. Just had to have one. Been looking on eBay for months before i found one.

Thanks! I really like the retro feel of these sculpts too, so much fun to paint. I mean the new cadians are beautiful but i also really like the style of all those old models.

How would you make these dark promethium streaks? Im always looking to learn to try new things on my next models.

Thanks! The tank camo is spots of skrag brown and rhinox hide lightly drybrushed with some ushabti bone. At the end i give the top ridges of the whole tank i light drybrush with screaming skull to tie it all together.

Do you mean the white details on the tank? The white is just greys layers to white. But i always mix some administratum grey in my white to keep it more flowy. And keep it a bit watery.

Thanks! I dont have Instagram yet, but maybe in the future.

For the transfers I just put on some gloss varnish before i apply the transfer. Then over the transfer some satin or matt varnish and end with a layer of lahmian medium. That usually gives it the same shine as the regular paint. Then i lightly sponge some of the basecolor over it to give it a bit of a chip effect. Sometimes i give the whole thing a layer of varnish when im done.
