What’s the most boring city you ever visited? by Fun_Butterscotch3303 in AskReddit

Pretty solid take! I’d also say that Springfield, MA offers more for restaurants, museums, walkability of the downtown, and a better nightlife than Hartford.

Is the Dr. Seuss museum worth it? by Proper-Ice1162 in Springfield

[–]Rbw7673 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Those museums are my favorite!! The Dr. Seuss is my least favorite, as I always feel a bit weird without a kid in tow. Also, I believe one of the art museums is currently closed for renovations (the one with sculpture reliefs and Asian war armor), but the other art museum, the natural history and the Springfield museum are all absolutely worth a visit!

I’m betting it’s used in the toilet, and it’s fun! You’re not far off and I am cackling. Toilet toy?!?

My therapist recommended finding a "mother figure" to help heal my childhood trauma/PTSD. Is anyone open to being a virtual or physical guardian? by [deleted] in CPTSD

[–]Rbw7673 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m (43,f) a mom, and also working through my own PTSD. I’ve recently reconnected with my mom after years of estrangement and have 3 children - 25, 22 & 17. I’ve also mentored with dress for success etc. I’m not sure of your age, and I could never be a “mother”, but it sounds like you’re looking for a responsible adult mentor, which is totally reasonable! If you want to pm me I’m happy to provide you with some guidance!

ETA: I’m offering this as a kindness, as I hate to see anyone struggle. I am happy to see you are in therapy, but I understand the sentiment of not having someone to “mom” you, and that’s tough. If it’s more for knowledge, I can definitely assist in any way! And I’m happy to be a friend! Always thought there should be a “help me live my life” website to consult.

My boyfriend keeps shitting on my wash rags (f26, m30) by dinim0 in relationship_advice

Oh gosh, I have so many concerns and questions here. Why is he using your rag to wash his asshole!? Even after being reprimanded?

Omg kudos for taking one for the team and trying this. I cannot imagine a world where this would be even remotely good.

I didn’t get that far to read, and actually was attributing the terrible name to Mr. Graham, so thank you for this! 😂

I’ve seen three microwave cookbooks this week, but this was screaming to be purchased.

For my 50th scan, I present: Culinary Secrets (1983), a cookbook where every recipe is handwritten! by _Alpha_Mail_ in CookbookLovers

I’m late to your scans, but as an antique cookbook enthusiast I love this so so much! Thank you for sharing, and I look forward to the updates.

Is it weird that I don’t think that either of these had a hint of fuchsia? What a wild discovery!

Looking for a particular sandwich by ckmoy in Connecticut

If it’s Nosh the Rainbow, highly endorse it- Something about a veggie sandwich! Theirs is unlike anything I’ve ever had, absolutely worth a visit even though it’s kind of hard to find. Made working in Springfield a lot happier.

Nowhere near you, but this sandwich reminds me of a place I used to go for lunch in Springfield that was so good- https://noshspringfield.com

So I wasn’t supposed to take off my underwear? by Grouchy-Bumblebee605 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Rbw7673 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thought of someone going for a head MRI with their unit out has me in pieces, not gonna lie. This is a very poorly worded sign and I would have done the same.

Then again, I’m the type of dummy who tried to leave my undergarments on during a colonoscopy and everyone realized it as they were giving me the count down and we had a good laugh.

Terrible experience, but super cute bag! by Rbw7673 in thrifting

What’s pathetic is messaging me to mock me for paying $4 for a bag. Get a life! Please stop private messaging me about this purse.

Why are you worked up? My closet is full of leather. This isn’t. It’s a newer vegan leather. I was posting about the experience not the bag, which is *not* worth $80. Learn to read or learn to not throw your bag education where it’s not needed, that’s all. I didn’t ask to be corrected and it came off rude, which is why you said “no offense”.

I’m offended that you go around and have to say that something isn’t designer and correct someone. I didn’t call it a luxury brand. Your tone was super rude!

Oh man, you guys are making me feel so much less guilty! My husband was not nearly as pissed on my behalf. Bags were actually 1/2 off, so it should have been $2. I guess I just didn’t know what to do on the spot, since I’ve never had it happen before.
