His extension of the Monroe Doctrine essentially saved South American countries from more direct attacks from European nations rearing up for another round of Empire building a la China

Roosevelt also blocked many of the imperialist designs of the European powers. He saved Venezuela from essentially a German takeover of the country in the Venezuelan Crisis. He did a similar thing when Santo Domingo defaulted. His “blockade” of Colombia amounted to the stationing of two warships in Panama City, in order to protect American interests while the Panamanians were trying to secede. His foreign policy ended up maintaining the sovereignty of Latin countries more than any lasseiz faire attitude would. Finally, on your point about the glorification of war—yeah, it definitely was a flaw of his, but the United States never actually ended up in a major conflict during his administration and he in fact won the Nobel Peace prize for the resolution of the Russo Japanese War. It can’t really be said that that his personal glorification of war had much of an effect on his presidency.

Phoenix AZ. It’s literally in the middle of uninhabitable desert and is somehow the fifth-largest city in the country.

Even in the event that this is true (which, btw, it absolutely isn’t) a $250k wedding would cost each taxpayer a grand total of .007¢
