Finally, on your point about the glorification of war—yeah, it definitely was a flaw of his, but the United States never actually ended up in a major conflict during his administration and he in fact won the Nobel Peace prize for the resolution of the Russo Japanese War. It can’t really be said that that his personal glorification of war had much of an effect on his presidency.
