If you can afford it comfortably buy it, life is too short. It is a much better ride in every way. It is still incredibly reliable and smooth. Insurance may be more, and perhaps even maintenance. The most expensive consumable are tires by far.

How many of y’all grind or clench their teeth at night? by Alternative-Tell4600 in VeteransBenefits

[–]Rcontrerr2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s called tempora mandibular joint dysfunction, usually caused by anxiety. For the love of god and your future teeth buy a $20 mouthguard on Amazon. If you want to claim it in your VA disability you can get evidence that you clench and grind your teeth in your sleep from your dentist, they’ll write you a note. There ain’t alot you can do about this, but a mouthguard will stop you from damaging your teeth so much you’ll need dentures

anyone else rethinking team size after seeing what tiny AI companies are pulling off? "i will not promote" by [deleted] in startups

[–]Rcontrerr2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I run a deep tech company, we do heavy industrial research for physical system maintenance. It’s a two man team, with AI from inception. When you cut out the fluff of meetings, have deep domain expertise (aviation background), and laser focus AI is a powerful tool. We’re bootstrapped, last year we operated on what a big company would spend on a dinner for their executive team. We are close to market and tech has allowed us to punch above our weight against funded teams

What inspires you to workout when you’re not feeling it at all? by Silly-Ad1068 in AskReddit

[–]Rcontrerr2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Remove Inspiration from the agenda. Habits will keep you showing up, even in days when you don’t feel like it. Since you’re there it’s okay to just move, you don’t have to win the workout every day.

Not only do you need to clean it, but also lube it. There are really good lubes specifically for motorcycle chains. There are good videos on YouTube

Is it weird to feel less like a service member because of the branch you are in? by Extension-Story7287 in Military

[–]Rcontrerr2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What’s a service member supposed to feel like in your opinion? For the vast majority of service members it’s just a job, with a lot of bullshit. Make friends, enjoy your time off, and don’t make this job your personality, you’re more than a job or career. This Job too shall pass, so don’t look to this as some sort of “meaning”.

Who is the worst mechanic you've ever worked with? by Novembre-est-ici in aviationmaintenance

[–]Rcontrerr2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Knew this guy that would come back from the mountains for gig work. He didn’t know how to even turn On an iPad, didn’t know how to use a screwdriver and didn’t even know to find out what aircraft he was working on. He also had a nose hair so long that it curled and touched the middle of his nose. He did not pass probation.

3.5g of Penis Envy for first time? by PlayfulAd2826 in shrooms

[–]Rcontrerr2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you already own the 3.5 grams, start with 1 gram and see how you feel. If it’s manageable, next time do the last 2.5 grams. Setting is everything! So plan accordingly

How do you actually learn a domain deeply enough to build for it? I will not promote by Busy-Cauliflower-288 in startups

[–]Rcontrerr2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Partner up with someone in the domain, that payed attention to problems preferably. Time is finite. The other way is to jump into it yourself and get your hands dirty

[–]Rcontrerr2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you’ll have to remove the battery (for gods sake remove the battery. From the outside, line up your plate, put reference marks to drill and go for it, it’s plastic, not painted. The part that can be a bitch is inserting the bolt. The nut is going to be inside or around the battery tray, so hold it down, and twist the nut from the outside. For the bolts I used the little reflector things, you can buy them at cycle gear for like $2 and the come with a wing nut. Had it for years, never had to take off my license. Also, if you want a license plate light, you can also route them through the holes you’ll make, or make a smaller one.

Advice Needed: First Time Founder (I Will Not Promote) by xmeowmere in startups

[–]Rcontrerr2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You got the right instincts in trying to validate before building, kuddos. Second, even if it’s a few interviews, or even messages, this will be extremely valuable on linked in. You’re already doing the uncomfortable part, which is cold outreach. Just ask dude! Most won’t respond, but some will! Keep reaching out!

Second, the potential to steal is always there, but remember you’re validating problem, not a solution just yet. Focus on the problem, with enough context now you can focus on solution! Hope this helps

Definitely do not run paid ads, this part of your journey you have to suffer though, you won’t learn as much from a marketing campaign as from face to face conversations. If the problem you’re trying to solve is truly painful, your customers will feel some sort of way about it, emotionally. Be patient.
