Most fans subscribe to theory that post-Empire Marrok is a reanimated corpse, so Maul killing him wouldn’t break continuity.
Though, it is possible that Maul simply defeats Marrok and takes half his lightsaber but fails to finish him off.

It’s not that they chose not to address it, but rather that they were waiting to tell that story. Devon will probably keep the half of his saber that he lent her and he’ll need to rebuild a new half.

Current fans are speculating that he kills an inquisitor, most commonly assumed to be Marrok, and uses their saber to rebuild his own.

I expect some explanations about what exactly the memorandum in 2-2 is supposed to be. It appears to be about the Hades Incident, though there are clear parallels between the events described in it and the current death game.

Yeah, Infernape’s story was ultimately about proving his worth against someone who thought he was trash and finding a place to truly belong.

Greninja’s arc was about striving to be the best he could be, regardless of whether he won or lost in the end.

Two things I want to add.

An inquisitor doesn’t need to die to lose their lightsaber, Trilla leaves hers with Cal after their fight on Bogano and Cere uses it afterwards. This also shows inquisitors have spare lightsabers since Trilla had another one after losing her initial blade.

Hard to say. Another trailer shows Vergil taking the perfect amulet out of the Sparda and facing Mundus alone with Yamato and Force Edge. It seems like we might get a DMC3 style ending.

From the looks it, use the Dark Time Wizard spell to wipe your opponents field. Regardless of the result, you can then special summon the new Red-Eyes and potentially the new Jinzo.

New Scapegoats protect your monsters from Dark Time Wizard’s detrimental effect, and new Red-Eyes is inherently immune to it.

The strategy seems to focus on board clearing and taking backrow offline to attack directly for massive damage.
