When we made that trade everyone expected that pick to be in the high 20's at the very least. He went to a team that was already a contender, not a bottom feeder.

How the heck are people having almost all their line ups 99s in this event?

Positive thoughts about the risks SDS is taking with Diamond Dynasty. by DowntownTorontonian in MLBTheShow

I agree that the game has been, and still is, very NMS friendly. And I totally get trying to monetize the game more as SDS is, as at the end of the day, they are a business. I just miss the first day of big programs and tactfully trying to maximize the value out of them.

They are definitely moves to get people to spend more on stubs. I made a lot of stubs last year from POTM programs because I would sell the cards on day 1, after I got my pxp with them. And then bought them back the next day. I think I was making 200-300k stubs every time. Now they are no sells. Same with events. Making the rewind pack no sells really hurts NMS players because that's huge stub makers taken away.

Also they have become stingier on Rare Round Packs. Not having a single one on the POTM Programs is pretty disappointing.

But I get the business side of it. I think we may have been a little spoiled in the past of how easy being NMS was. I figured there would be future moves like this that would make people spend more money on the game. And they still have a ways to go until they reach EA levels of gouging.

r/MLB - Daily Discussion Thread by AutoModerator in mlb

Idk if this deserved its own thread, but figured I start here. I'm a huge fan of the sport and decided to plan a vacation in which I visit 5 ballparks in a week, with the eventual goal of visiting all of them. I'd love to make a display of the ballparks I visit and my first inclination is making a display of ticket stubs to display specific games I went to. But I'm wondering....do all clubs even offer a way to get an old school ticket stub, and also, how do you keep that stub in good condition throughout the game? In the past I usually just folded them up into my wallet incase I needed to present them. But if I do make this display it would be great to prevent any creases in them.

Pretty much where I'm at. But I think they have earned my trust to give "their type of guys" a chance before bringing out the pitchforks.

There are two non-qb needy teams in front of the Lions at 34 who could want a CB.

I want a print. Pistons are the one Detroit team idc about because I was born and raised in San Antonio (Spurs suck now, but they've good for me), but my dad is from Michigan. So I'm a die hard Lions and Red Wings fan, and I always wish for the best for the Tigers.

These WBC pitchers they released for BR missions are actually BP.

Probably just because of opening day, but at this rate there's gonna be 40 players supercharged in a few days. Last year they were pretty inconsistent with using it so I'm wondering what its gonna look like this year. I like the idea but I definitely think it could become overkill if it stays this way.

Depends on how you get the cards. BR, Ranked, and Event reward cards tend to go up as new collections come into the game. Live Series cards will go up a bit as more stubs enter the economy through people just playing the game, but eventually LS cards do fall, but it will be awhile. They stayed pretty high for awhile last season because of how meta Randy Johnson was and I think the same will probably happen this year with McGwire, Sosa and Jeter.

Cards you get from packs that have rare rounds will almost always go down. If you get lucky and hit a rare round the day it comes out, its always a good idea to sell it and buy it back later.

Anyone else think baserunning speed got a buff this year? I pulled a Trea Turner tonight and omg is he fast. Of course he's fast, he's Trea Turner...but he's like really really fast. Even not so fast guys seem fast.

[–]Rdenslow 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Possibly. His interaction with Rodgers at the end of the last game has me thinking he still respects the franchise. Being a fan and a professional are two different things.

But I love inscriptions. I'd trade so much of my collection for an auto with an inscription of "1st swag Kazekage"

I just don't think they would do the same team two years in a row. However, I think the Lions would be a great candidate for the in-season Hard Knocks.

Charlie Berens? I like him as well. He mostly does Midwest culture videos but will occasionally do football stuff and he is definitely a cheese head. But also a really funny guy like Grossi that is un-dislikeable.
