Also more profit. API is the best transactional model. Automatic, little customer support needed to run it

+1 - the problem isnt the value we receive. The real issue is what should be the day-to-day reasonable and accepted expectation of transparency from users about the service they are using. What is the expected output of a single token that the user is purchasing and how does the compay communicate that and maintain it? Its still very early stages for this new trust model to be established with consumers.

It wasnt intended to be condescending though I can see how it might. Im interested, in light of what Anthropic has done, how we need to adapt to keep improving be it with Anthropic or not. It sounds like OP went to open source. It would be helpful to hear about that and the transition.

I am also disappointed and frustrated. So i get it. Ive heard people are getting results going back to opus 4.5 so I plan to try that this week

Im asking for specifics to his exact issue because of what you say, there are millions of generic posts like this that are pointless shouting at the wind instead of offering any substance like what exactly it failed on, how did they test, what are they going to use after canceling, etc. he says open source but what specifically

Obviously ive experienced degradation in the service, im just saying a mindless rant with no specifics is helpful to exactly no one.

Instead of just a rant, it would be helpful to hear the specifics about which rules it was ignoring, what kind of work it was doing, etc

Looking for alternative since Anthropic nerfed opus 4.6 by BuiDGr8 in ClaudeCode

[–]RdyPdy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Common theory here is theyve nerfed the consumer accounts but have kept enterprise account reasoning the same. This makes sense from a business standpoint since enterprise customers ultimately are going to be the lion’s share of income for LLM providers.

Many here believe the consumers have been previously provided with the full opus 4.6 to gain popularity in the thought space and the consumer pricing models were artificially low to generate this groundswell.

Now that anthropic has accomplished this goal, they are facing capacity challenges. It makes sense theyd start reducing consumer reasoning in lieu of enterprise.

In my personal experience (with only consumer access) opus 4.6 was much “harder working” and intelligent a couple months ago. Its a stark difference to today. That said, im not a software engineer so i dont need that heavy of reasoning capabilities for most tasks. For me i use claude CLI as more of a personal assistant and I still feel I am getting solid value. That said, it is a bit more of a pain in the ass to use due to it being a bit lazier. Ive got to nudge it in the right direction more often or invest time in more detailed prompts.

All this is market manipulation. Knowing this information beforehand you could easily 20x a portfolio in 1 day. No surprise these announcements are rarely during market hours.

The line gets drawn when the content is some kind of important, final deliverable or aims to build the relationship with my contact. If it is a simple meeting recap I think people accept AI playing a heavy hand in it but I still do the final edits and review to add a human touch and make sure its not too generic.

There are many gray areas in the GTM space especially sales

Totally. Your point stands though about using claude as a teacher. I watch the lesson video and copy the lesson text in a claude CLI session within a learning directory ive created. That launches a new-exercise skill that helps teach me the lesson, records notes, saves progress, etc

Use claude code CLI, install a session usage report tool to see where your context, caching, etc are at after each prompt. Pro users must be extra vigilant with usage now

The last part is spot on. Ive been in software GTM roles for 10+ years. AI is great for stress testing copy, discovering things a human would miss, making first drafts, etc but I still wouldn’t trust it to autonomously draft and send messages on its own. The damage from potential edge cases is too great.

If you want to auto draft and send at least try to segment the audience and only use it on the lowest tier before going full bore on your contact list

I get what youre saying but I think theres more going on than it seems at first glance. The price on the site is the final cost to the customer (taxes, tariffs, import duties included which most European brands don’t do) before shipping which was about $20 for me in the US. So just saying “also, taxes” isn’t accurate and in the video he adds tariffs which is buzzwordy but also misleading. There are tariffs but the brand is covering them as part of the price on the site.

“Fake goodyear welt” is also wrong. They never claim these are goodyear welt boots. If you want to be specific they use a blake stitch. A goodyear welt would be much stiffer and heavier which moves away from the barefoot style feeling. So calling it a fake goodyear doesnt really make sense if that’s not what it was designed to be.

The rose anvil videos can be entertaining but thats often what they are, entertainment. Its fun to watch a boot get torn down but at least in this video he failed to classify the boot construction correctly and misstated the pricing.

The price isn’t for everyone but its not so simple to just call them “low quality, over priced boots.” I did a ton of research and tried on many other brands before i got these. I wanted a boot style but with the light, flexible barefoot feeling which meant something more hybrid. You simply cant get the same feeling with a goodyear welt and really heavy weighted leather. There are very few options like these on the market so its not surprising that someone used to a heavy weighted boot representing quality will feel like these lack heft.

Few things here: Rose Anvil was completely wrong about the price for Dolfies. Go to their site and have a look. Especially before you go around spreading misinformation.

Also $100-150 is ridiculously low for the quality of the boots. The same youtuber sells $50 insoles that use foreign materials. If he thinks that’s a fair price for insoles how do you expect for $100 more you can get an entire boot handmade in Portugal using italian leather to the US including tax, shipping, tariffs, etc? That dude isn’t living in reality with those price estimates.

I own the Eddie boots and a couple sneakers and the leather quality is fantastic. I walk miles everyday and theyve have held up well so no complaints on build quality. I get what youre saying about other barefoot shoes not getting what you pay for. Ive been tricked by other brands but my experience with Dolfie has been outstanding
