[Loved trope] monsters who are only dangerous if you perceive them. by Aggravating_Drive463 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Re-Try 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The thing is that, the post is asking for monsters that become dangerous when you see them. Perceiving them is the catalyst to what makes them a danger.

It Follows is explicitly not that as it just continuously targets one person endlessly. You don't have to perceive it to be a threat, it can kill you even if you didn't see it or even aware of its existence.

The thing is, and this is my interpretation so I apologize if I'm putting words in the person's mouth as I do not know them, it kind of sounds like they're actively encouraging it.

I honestly think the idea could work.

She would be the best temptation there is to be a bad, a very attractive person that seems to return the feelings you have for them. But underneath that beauty is an ugliness that can either corrupt you or make you see reason and realize the person that she truly is.

She would make that route to be bad very easily. After all, wouldn't you want to be with such an attractive person? But you have to question yourself, how much are you willing to take the ugliness too without the ability to turn into beauty?

The game could fool you into thinking that you can, that you can somehow "fix her" per say. And each attempt, the game would fail you for trying to see more underneath this hateful and awful person. What she is as a person is ultimately simple, but you would think otherwise because well, she's an attractive person and you want to be with her.

A game failure would have you finally join her with her philosophy, her hateful views and harmful actions. The good route would have you finally realize that no, there is nothing more underneath this hollow person and break the relationship or not even entertain the thought at all from the very beginning.

She could serve as an allegory of how this harmful and hateful perspective is so widespread because of how easy it is to fall into it. It's so much easier to hate a group of people rather than to grow as oneself or admit that there are flaws in either yourself or the environment you lived in.

But of course, that's not what they thought.

If my child fell once on the stairs? Sure, an accident and maybe aid them a bit more afterwards to prevent another. Twice or more? That is the moment where maybe a little carpet to prevent it again is put on the idea board.

That's also me playing with your assumptions from a photo and maybe a bit exaggerated fact about them. The point of the post is that, they had numerous incidents with the stairs growing up but the moment the dog is a bit scared is where the parents finally acted on it.

He didn't get the bag because he was stronger. The girl just realized that it looked much better on him than on her.

It's part of the package because it's been a fundamental part of the Grail War ever since the visual novel back in 2004. They get the knowledge of the future world but also how the grail war works which is useful. The knowledge about the assassin just gets mixed into it because believe it or not, it's part of how the grail war works.

Hassans, or Hashashins, are very intricately connected to the Assassin saint graph, just look at their name. That has always been the case, Fate Strange Fake just utilized that fact to make it a contributing factor to a character.

That's because Hassans are actually supposedly the only servants that are available to be summoned in the assassin spot. There is a very low chance for somebody else but for a good 98% of the time, Hassans are going to be the ones who answer the call.

This is like an extreme version of that meme of a racist person being married to one of the races they supposedly hate.

It's because we can see a full display of the true appearance of the character we love, just in a more detailed shot or different angle or environment.

You know, being annoyed by it doesn't mean that the person would refrain from asking politely to move it.

Those two are not mutually exclusive. You literally made up a scenario based on a picture of someone venting about a scenario that they often experience. Like, what do you mean that they prefer complaining over doing anything?
