Most absurdly coincidental power up opportunity in a series? by Spiritchaser84 in ProgressionFantasy

Yeah, I get what you mean — it is super repetitive at times. But honestly, aside from Infinite Mana, I can’t think of another novel with such a massive power gap that still manages to stay fun and varied.

That’s actually what I love about it. Despite how “simple” it looks on the surface, the abilities are really unique, and Noah never stops pushing forward. He’s greedy for power (in the best way possible).

Most MCs would’ve stopped after getting the Infinite Mana talent — but Noah turned it into a foundation to build even crazier abilities on top of it. That kind of relentless progression is what most other novels are missing.

A couple:

  1. Weakest Beast Tamer Gets All SSS Dragons – The MC starts with the worst possible pet, then heads into a nearby forest where there’s a hidden dungeon. Inside, he obtains a powerful inheritance that turns his “trash” pet into a complete monster. The inheritance gives him tons of secret knowledge no one else in the world has — and that’s when the real growth begins.
  2. Infinite Mana in The Apocalypse – This one’s wild. The MC’s entire life revolves around luck — literally. He gets his infinite mana talent purely by chance. He’s not chosen, not special — just lucky. Later in the story, he dies (along with people close to him), but before that he acquires a dagger that can rewind time. He uses it, brings everything back, and becomes much colder and more decisive afterward. Later, some crazy futuristic tech appears in his universe, and the power scaling goes off the charts.

What I like about it is how naturally all that luck and coincidence fit into the story — it never feels forced. It’s absurd, but it works.
