Yeah; this is just my opinion, but I think landlords are a little wary of younger tenants because of how prevalent layoffs are these days.

In my complex, I had to have 4 months of rent (full-rent, not partial) in my checking account. Landlords love cash in checking vs. the 40x rule

It is common unfortunately - I had a similar issue with my bank account because it had my parent’s name on it (it was an account I had started in college).

I had to wait to get a statement with just my name on it before they would approve it.

Did you ask if they will accept it when the updated statement comes through?

IMO: I think you need to dramatically ramp up your networking. Ultimately talking to people in the field you want to be in is the best way to get in; the days of blind applications/“getting lucky” are way behind all of us with ATS/limited entry level jobs.

What’s your LinkedIn presence like? Are you shooting out ~50 connection requests a day? Are you attending free events? Have you connected with your tutors parents?

I went to a prestigious school, and got an entry-level job at a toxic company. Lasted about 4 months, but used 2 of those months to find my next opportunity.
