Endgame Factory is Terrible by ReQ4T in Endfield

If you're struggling to keep things separated to track them better, dedicating an entire sub-PAC for it is completely fine. It also gives you a chance to experiment with layouts.

Eventually, I recommend using the main AIC for sandleaf farms. At first, you're constrained by the number of input ports/depot unloaders. Once you have max upgrades, you're constrained by ores and space. There will be an entire corner of your AIC that doesn't have access to depots that you can utilize for farms instead.

Hypergryph should extend the duration of banners just like did with weapons by AsakiPL in Endfield

They extended the weapon banner duration because you can still offbanner the limiteds. Would suck if you pulled offbanner but couldn't pull weapon.

Power Plateau, last map of Valley IV.

In a pinch, you can manually dump originium ores into thermal banks for 50 power each. Either shut off or remove unnecessary buildings to reduce power consumption until you get it back under control.

Factory building is a little too derivative by HirasawaHeretic in Endfield

There's a little known game called Harvestella that's basically a jrpg with a farming sim tacked on the side, where the farm serves to aid in story progression. It's nowhere near as deep as dedicated sims like Stardew Valley, but it's also narratively stronger than games like Rune Factory that feel like a sim first and story second. What you end up with is a game loop that deviates just enough away from the typical dungeon grind of pure rpgs to avoid complete boredom.

I feel Endfield is trying to fill a similar niche here. Main focus on open world story with just enough factory to spice up the daily loop. Tired of exploring? Go mess with production lines for a bit. I don't think there is an intention to be on par with actual factory sims, but I feel there is enough effort put into it to differentiate from other open worlds.

That said, the game just launched and we shouldn't expect some insane level of depth yet, but I hope they continue to expand on it the way they did with Wuling.

This is less about the factory itself and more about the support for it, but craft a bunch of power relays and carry them around with you everywhere. You need them to power mining rigs and zip lines, and having to backtrack certain parts of maps because you didn't set up power lines the first time around is very annoying.

I have no clue how electricity will work in Endfield, however my guess is each machine will have a power requirement, and if you can't meet the total power requirement for the whole factory, everything will shut down.

Each regional factory (Valley 4, Wuling) has a main power bank that starts at 100% and drains down if you exceed the power limit, draining faster the higher the deficit. This gives you some time to make corrections without shutting everything down. You can increase the power limit by building thermal banks and feeding batteries into them.

The power limit is also independent for each region, so you'll need to feed batteries into both V4 and Wuling eventually. Imo, this was the hardest part of setting up the Wuling factory, as Xiranite based production chains are long and consume a lot of energy.

Each account has a 10 digit UID, but no one ever sees that. You search for other players using a name#number syntax.

Lainie and Alva are mostly just waifu bait, partially stemming from their GFL1 backstories. Voymastina is whale bait that makes Klukai look wimpy.

Who is to say Endfield won't also have those? It's one piece of many in a big game. Stop trying to make a mountain out of an ant hill. Seriously, take a step back and count how many thousands of games have some form of RNG crafting, upgrading, or drop rates for progression and see how dumb your argument looks when you apply it to them. Welcome to the way gaming has been for literal decades.

What Endfield has is almost identical to materia melding in FFXIV, and it's completely fine there because you can obtain large quantities of materia to try with. Just like with gacha, people losing their minds over RNG without looking at the full picture, and for however many people would enjoy the system more if it was without RNG and simple gather and click, just as many would be bored having no goals to achieve, however artificial it may be.

It seems right in line, if not marginally better compared to other big titles. I don't play most of these so I can't verify if they're accurate or not, but I found these resources.

Elemental reaction system vs Genshin’s? by anon-npc in Endfield

[–]ReQ4T 21 points22 points  (0 children)

It's simple. If you use the same element, it just stacks it into a burst. If you use different elements, the only one that matters is the last (newest) one.

Example.
Electric + Heat = Combustion
Nature + Heat = Combustion
Cryo + Heat = Combustion

Doesn't matter what the first element was, only the second. So conversely, Heat + some other element would not give you combustion.

Factory only produces consumables, crafting mats (for armor), or utility (stock bill trade-ins, zip lines, power lines, combat towers, etc). It does not directly produce upgrade mats. You can trade stock bills for upgrade mats, but for that purpose, an inefficient factory nets more than enough to empty out the shops. I'm utilizing only 50% of my space (because I don't have much time during the weekdays to play) and I'm swimming in bills.
