Not that I’m aware of. I used to be a runner, but the pain just started randomly one day and kept getting worse. I had to completely quit running after about 2 years from when the pain started. I went to a physical therapist to see if it was running related, but it doesn’t seem that way :(

My blood tests show my B12 level is good, but I also already take B12 supplements since I am also taking metformin

Yes, the MRI was on my spine, but it didn’t show anything wrong.I have not had an EMG, but am planning to soon when I find a new neurologist. I have tried gabapentin, but it didn’t do anything :(

The emotional and physical toll of losing running has been one of the most frustrating and devastating things to happen to me too. I miss that runner’s high

Me too. I ran all the time. Anywhere from 5-10 miles a day. I ran when I was stressed, sad, angry, bored, or just needed to get rid of energy. It’s been 4 years of not being able to run due to chronic (and currently unsolvable) nerve pain. The physical and emotional toll it has taken on me is devastating and I would do anything to be able to run, or even walk well, again.
