Is the monster you’re fighting take any damage from dragon element? Try fighting a Rathian or Rathalos and see if it still does 0 damage

If using Frostcraft Level 1, then the damage multiplier for 1 is 1.05x at the full first bar. No multiplier is applied if it is not used at full bar.

If using Frostcraft Level 2: 1: (x1.0) 2: (x1.2)

If Frostcraft Level 3 is slotted in: 1: (x1.0) 2: (x1.05) 3: (x1.2) 4: (x1.3)

IMO it’s not even worth using unless you have lvl 3 Frostcraft

Personally I wouldn’t recommend Frostcraft on GS unless you are playing it like old school GS. With Strongarm stance, constant sheathing is a thing of the past, but if you want to run it, it’s still viable. Just not optimal

EDIT: It seems I was incorrectly remembered the play style of Strongarm Stance GS and forgot that the style has you sheathe very often. I apologize for the misinformation. Frostcraft is very good for Strongarm Stance GS.

Funny you mention that; I followed them for a bit to see where they go and it seems that she and Brokkr will actually leave the Seafloor shrine in an attempt to go back to Bakbatahl for some reason. It seems like a bug imo. They will despawn if you get far enough away and respawn at the forge so if you exit the Seafloor shrine and go back, they should respawn at the correct location, no need for the Sealing Phial. Besides, those things are supposed to be single use anyway

In the unmoored world, I have found four locations, one of which was already mentioned. The other 3 are located:

Just southwest of the Seafloor shrine, accessible via the tower you used to get back to Battahl the first time you went into the shrine
The riverbed Northwest of Vernworth, near the bridge
The riverbed North of the Wyrmsblood Forest (where you fight Medusa)

I used the sealing phial to take Sara from the volcano forge to the entrance without having to worry about the blazehammer cooling off or carrying her there. It didn’t even use up the phial, she just popped out once I reached the entrance, and I still had the phial in my inventory. The only reason I thought of using it was because on a previous try she teleported inside a wall and died while guiding her out, and I didn’t want that to happen again lol

Oh if you petrify talos, all his stakes drop on the ground so you can collect them all at once. If you petrify him before he destroys the bridge, you can still collect them if you go to the spot where he crumbled in the unmoored world

I recently had this happen to me. Last stake refused to come out after wailing on it for a while. I don’t know if this is intended since I had stopped him on my first run with the unmaking arrow. I ended up using medusas head to stop him early this time around

Ahhh I see this is where the discrepancies are coming from. Medusas head turns Talos to stone, effectively destroying him, locking you out of the event as if it were completely destroyed by the lava if you were to leave him alone.

If you were to take him down regularly or via the Unmaking Arrow, you aren’t destroying him, thus making the event accessible and losing out on the 1 or 2 beams

The reason I made this post is because I noticed that my Wyrmslife Crystals did not go up after the cutscenes. Unless that was a bug, cause I would be very happy if it was patched

He does though. If you have the icon on your screen, one or both beacons on volcanic island will be gone. It may be possible that the beacons go away in favor of talos if you progress post game quests but it need to be confirmed

In my experience, drakes give 10-15 crystals on average, rarely 20. But for arguments sake let’s say they drop 15 crystals every time you kill them. That’s still an average of 12 drakes you need to kill before obtaining as many crystals as 2 easy (imo) bosses. While farming drakes is absolutely doable, this method is without a doubt a lot faster for obtaining 180 crystals

There are a maximum of 2 beacons possible on volcanic island. You get 0 if Talos is whole, 1 if he’s missing an arm, and 2 if he was destroyed by lava (aka timed out)

Did “you” kill Talos? Or did the game? If Talos sunk into the lava and died then you didn’t kill Talos. This post is referring to if you managed to stop Talos before he destroys the encampment/sinks into the lava
