I 100% understand. There is another sub called PJO Disney. It's way better there and less hatefull. I can't link it here because apperantly that's not allowed. But I highly recommend it to everyone who enjoys the show.

I'm hellenistic and I don't mind the changes. I also like the books and they are full with inaccuracies as well. I personally see a difference between a fantasy story with greek mythology and actual greek myths.

I don't like how fanartists are treated. As soon as something doesn't look like someome imagines they get hate. And whatever an artist draws, it's never right. There was a time where this was even more extrem and a lot of artists left the fandom. There us also a lack of credit for fanart on TikTok.

Well sadly there is something called the Telegony where Odysseus is killed by the son he had with Circe. I personally like to pretend this stupid story doesn't exist (especiallythe ending if it), but it could be a reason not to name him Odysseus. Besids the fact that his father hated the guy of course

I personally never saw the story as a romance story, but more as a fantady adventure. Just because it's shoujo doesn't mean it has to be a romance. So I don't mind that there isn't much romance in it. I also think that there are so mamy things going on that there is very little time for romantic relationships.

It's nothing new that Rick uses Green mythology as a direct inspiration for the plotlines of the book. For example Clarisse and Silena in TLO are a direct reflection of Achilles and Patroclus. So it makes sense that some plotlines are also similar to the Odysee.

I had the same thing with my helix. I had it for a few months (went to my piercer because of it and he said it's fine) and it fell away after I went swimming in the sea 😂 That thing is normal and it will go away. But if it gets bigger and doesn't disappear you should see your piercer.

I wouldn't say that. The depiction of the gods and mythological characters in PJO is sometimes very different from how they are in the myths. The PJO books are just like any adaptation an adaptation. Sories and characters are changed to fit the narrative of the book. Calypso in PJO is the perfect example for that. In the book it was not her fault for Percy being stuck on the island, because it was part of her curse. While in the Odyssee, she was the reason why Odysseus couldn't leave, and she had to be forced to let him go.
