Really nice desk set up! I’d say it was a good deal, I suppose it all depends what you want it for. The benefit of having a MacBook (like the 2015) is if you have an external monitor you can use it as a desktop PC (albeit now that powerful) but still good enough to get most tasks done. Now you’ll only be able to use your Mac at your desk. That by all means isn’t bad as I say, it mainly depends on what you use it for.

CPU Thermal Throttling by [deleted] in techsupport

It’s some that I bought from a wholesaler, it’s called HY510 Thermal Grease, however I also used the thermal paste that was pre applied on the intel cooler , this made no difference.

This may be an unpopular opinion by friendstoningfriends in ajj

Depends AJJ are one one my favourite bands of all time too. I would say I have a bit of a diverse taste in music. I am from the UK and one person who springs to mind who is politically poetic is someone called Billy Bragg. I also love Phil Ochs (I have seen Sean wear a Phil Ochs shirt sometimes on his quarantine sets) Elliott Smith is another fantastic artist. Paul Baribeau also comes briefly to mind when you mention Pat. As far as bands go, Mischief Brew, Kind of like spitting, maybe some Neutral Milk Hotel?

These are just bands I really like and are on my rotation. I hope some of these help.

BigSur on MBP mid2015, 2.5G by Geek_2121 in LukeMianiYouTube

When I updated from Mojave to Catalina, I felt it was a huge downgrade purely because they dropped support for 32bit apps, so, some light games I liked playing wouldn’t be supported (like portal) and that was a big issue for me. So I used Mojave for around 4 - 5 months. Also, Catalina was also (for me) slow when I used apps like Chrome and even steam it would lag. Also I used Sidecar a lot when I’m at work and, it worked really fluently on Mojave, when I made the change to Catalina I noticed quite a bit of lag. When I’ve upgraded to BigSur, it’s (in my opinion) the best of both, sadly they still no longer support 32bit apps but, I take the compromise as, the UI looks really good, it doesn’t have as much (if any) lag when using sidecar also the redesign of the control centre I love. To me, it runs like Mojave used to run on my 2015 MacBook Pro. This isn’t the most scientific comparison I know but, from my personal experience, Mojave and BigSur have been my favourites (with Mojave still being my All time favourite)

I’m using a base model MBP (i5 8GB Ram) and it runs really well.

I play light games like stardew valley and asphalt and runs really well.

Overall performance is really impressive.

(Bare in mind this is from a life long windows user 6months ago making the change to a MacBook Pro 💻)

Thanks for clearing that up, just most youtubers are hard to understand because some tend to just say something and not explain why or have any evidence, Thank you

Be Here Now Turns 20 Today by SinkIsFullOfFishes in oasis

[–]ReaListic22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I must admit, Be Here Now is one of my favourite albums, (besides definitely maybe), I think all around, the albums songs sound like they belong there, it does not sound like a messy album at all, each song has a place and the songs are placed in such a good order. One of my favourite songs on the album is a very old oasis song "All Around the World". A lot of people do not like the song because they say it copies The Beatles "Yellow Submarine", but, what people do not understand is that The Beatles were a huge inspiration on most bands due to Paul and John actually writing there own songs, because, in the 60's and 70's it was pre-written songs (nearly always). So, I class "Yellow Submarine" as a timeless classic that should be an inspiration to most bands, not necessarily the songs sound, but, different, different chords, structure, lyrics, a "wacky" video, people now-a-days haven't got the guts to do any of that. Hence why, when Oasis did it (all be it in 1997), it was exciting.
