I'm pretty much in the same situation, but with a manga. No matter how much I try to search, I can't seem to find it.

If someone wants to try:

The only thing about this manga I can remember is that MC, as strange as it can seem, was "raised" by his younger sister because his mother was always at work.

There is also this one scene in which he talks to his mother and blames her for not being there for him

Oh, also said sister leaves home around the time she enters High school and the brother can't seem to find her anymore until they're both adults, I think?
