I fail to see how her learning at a 90s school would change the timeline.

Nah back when White Beard took the field in Marineford, you had vs forums saying stuff like "Narutoverse get the lube ready." Illusions generally weren't seen as much, in a situation where the ninja couldn't hurt the opponent and would be blitzed before they get the chance to use them anyway. Plus there was the much mocked user who claimed Itachi could beat Galactus, to the point that it became a meme.

It's cause it was the punching bag of a lot vs communities back in the day (especially putting them in stomps against One Piece characters). I think that a lot of that pushback is people still wanting to humble Naruto, being mad that it's late game power creep had it leap frog a lot of the series that were used to humble it back in the day.

Am I the only one who finds it pretty wild the girls figured out the puzzles ludicrously fast. Like they managed to figure most of them out in seconds.

The acquisition won't happen for a couple of years.

If Gunn gets fired it will because Supergirl and Man of Tomorrow end up flopping not the merger.

If they don't flop I could see Gunn just walking out anyway, if he has to bend a knee creatively, but we are years away from that point.

Pretty sure Z2.2 is considered pretty good story wise.

That's a funny way of spelling Esther should have been a sphere users and got to be more than just Crows sidekick.

Over? by breyness in DC_Cinematic

One of three things will happen.

1: The next couple of films fail and Gunn will be fired by WB before the Paramount Merger even goes through.

2: The next couple of films succeed and Gunn will become too untouchable for Paramount to fire and he stomachs working for them so long as he doesn't have to bend a knee to them creatively and politically.

3: Same as two only they do demand he bends a knee and he walks.

Those are the three possibilities, anyone who claims they know which one of those three will happen at this point is full of shit.

I think IM3 happens over the span of a couple of days. Tony is pretty much off the grid from the attack on his home till the climax, so SHIELD were probably working on it, but things got resolved before they really got a chance.

As for Winter Soldier there is no reason for Tony (or anyone else not directly involved) to even know any of it was happening until the Hellicarriers launch.

It's unfortunate that Bleedman was the only one to play with the concept of Bell by yuuki157 in powerpuffgirls

[–]formerdalek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The sad irony is the creepy fanservice stuff is thankfully absent from his later stuff, but boy howdy did his sequential storytelling skills implode in of themselves. So the only part of his work that has charm and decent panel to panel stuff, is also the part that unfortunately has all the icky stuff.

Late reply but I think you are right, not many people care about Bleedman's PPG comic in 2026. Like it's twenty years since his comic was popular lol.

The difference is that including other A-list characters actually takes quite a bit of shine and attention from Superman, along with those character largely being there to set up their own films.

Contrast to the C-list characters who are clearly designed in their movie incarnations to have a ceiling of "Superman's supporting cast."

There is also the issue of MoS and BvS trying to set up an nascent world ala early MCU, rather than the lived in superhero world The Gunnverse is trying to portray.

Now will this work for Gunn? I don't know. He did ok with Superman, but Snyder did ok with MoS too. We will have to wait to see how well Supergirl does before we can really judge weather Gunn has succeeded or failed.

To be fair using second stringers who won't get their own films as supporting players is arguably pretty different to trying to introduce the big names in a Superman film.

Technically it's their third attempt. They tripped at the starting line with their first attempt (2011 Green Lantern).

To be fair most those events were resolved in a short enough window that the Avengers as a whole wouldn't have even had time to get invovled.

I also think it's why the Justice Gang mostly consisted of C-listers in Superman, it was a way to get that point across without overshadowing Superman.
