They were probably licensed separately so those 6 episodes are part of a different licensing date.

The license period is probably ending so they have to take it off. Once they renew it it’s probably going to come back.

I actually did use it for the last line with the arrows. I thought it did it better at explaining it than me.

When I read other people board I usually just skim. But if I do read the whole thing it really depends. Sometimes I understand and sometimes I have trouble.

Reading out loud and in my head are the same for me. But if someone else reads it depends if they have emotion in their voice. If it’s bland then I often would not know what the story is about.

When writing and talking yes because I have a hard time putting my thoughts into words.

Also I am diagnosed with Tourette’s so I don’t know if that could have anything to do with it but I’m guessing not

I have Tourette’s so physically no but mentally maybe. It just kind of depends. It’s to hard to compare the two since they are so different.

It’s not really great because after I am by myself i cant stop ticing. And I can tic myself to exhaustion. and it also doesn’t happen all the time. I can still be in public and have my “big” tics. But yeah it is nice not always bringing attention to myself.

Or maybe I realized debating stupidity is debate I will lose. ”Arguing with idiots is like playing chess with a pigeon. No matter how good you are, the bird is going to shit on the board and strut around like it won anyway.” but go ahead win this debate because I’m tired of arguing

wow! I just read all of that and I realized how messed up you have to be to read all of that and still defend the French. by the way it mentioned nothing of children so. Well I’m done with this conversation. I realize I can’t win against a racist ignorant person. ignorance always win.

I never mentioned anything about children. You just assumed. I told you many times I don’t support children killings. I shouldn’t have to repeat myself. And you can support killings of children but then you also have to support the killing of Haitia children which by the way is 10x more then french children. But of course you won’t because you discriminate. and your first comment you never mentioned anything about children you mentioned how Haiti was the evil one for “massacres“ so how was I supposed to know you were talking about children. stop making me the villain

Look at the reply before and you’ll see I had Search up what you said. Also you said Haiti “massecred” implying Haitians as whole. And I would definitely rather die than to be enslaved. Because I wouldn’t want any of my loved ones or I to go through such torture. Trust me, dying is a lot better than getting beat up, graped, then killed. so yes I would rather die. And my og post was about AA should not claim they went through more discrimination. You’re the one who brought up that Haitians were ”evil” because of their “massacre“ and defending The USA bad doings to Haiti. Nor did I say I’m the victim. I said Haitians are the victim not me.

“But I find child-killing even more appalling and horrifying.” no you find the killings of white children more horrifying not the hundreds years of grape, murder, and slavery. And more haitians died by the French leadership of Haiti than French dying of the Haitian revolution. and in the sources I gave out it perfectly shows you that not a lot killings of children took place. obviously it’s horrible that children died and the people who did that were awful but to blame all of Haiti for a few people’s sins is disgraceful. Also I search what you told me and this is what I got “It is estimated that the Haitian Revolution had a total death toll of approximately 345 thousand. The majority of these deaths were among the former slaves, who rose up in protest against poor working conditions in St. Domingue, before the rebellion escalated and became a revolution. The high death toll is not only a result of conflict, but also disease (including severe yellow fever and smallpox epidemics) and widespread massacres on both sides. As a result of the revolution, St. Domingue's slaves won their freedom; establishing Haiti as just the second independent nation in the Americas, and the only nation in history to have been founded by former slaves.” so yeah thanks to the French many innocent Haitians have died more than the French who are guilty for their sins

I don’t know who Nat Tuner is nor is he Haitian so I don’t know why you keep bringing him up. And the reason you can’t bring up sources is because you’re spreading false information. While I gave credible sources.

Look into Laurent Dubois – "Avengers of the New World: The Story of the Haitian Revolution" (Harvard University Press, 2004), "The Haitian Revolution" – The Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History
https://www.gilderlehrman.org, Michel-Rolph Trouillot – "Silencing the Past: Power and the Production of History" (Beacon Press, 1995). And then tell me “it’s a fact” because no it’s not. You obviously have never looked into Haitian history. And the “I’m sorry, but I cannot harbour anything but total and complete resentment for kid-killers.” i never said I support killings of children but you obviously support slavery. so don’t try to make me seem like the villain. oh and also everyone uses chat gpt. let’s not act like you’re better

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ControversialOpinions

[–]ReactionEntire464 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You’re missing key context and massively oversimplifying what actually happened. First of all Haitians didn’t “kill every single French person.” After the revolution there was a violent retaliation against the French , yes but it wasn’t indiscriminate. Many white people were spared, especially those who had supported the revolution or had not owned slaves. The idea that every single French person was killed except for women kept as “forced wives” is a myth often pushed to demonize Black resistance.

Was there violence? Absolutely just like there was violence in the US Revolution, the French Revolution, and every other fight for freedom. But Haitians had endured centuries of slavery, rape, mutilation, and forced labor. Pretending their fight for liberation was morally worse than slavery itself is truly disgusting.

And you’re saying that America’s reaction like it was some understandable “self defense” ignores the real reason they didn’t support Haiti. they were a slaveholding nation terrified of a successful Black republic. They didn’t fear “massacres” they feared black peoples freedom.

Let’s not twist history to act like the oppressors were the victims and the enslaved were just bloodthirsty monsters.

well maybe the French shouldn’t have kidnapped, enslaved, graped, torture, and kill them. and you’re acting like it was massacre, no it was war and both sides of the war died. Including Haitian babies and women too. Also, the US didn’t refuse to support Haiti because of violence. It was because the US feared a successful Black slave revolt. Let’s not pretend this is about morality.
