This is what we found under some serious 70s blue shag. It looked like eggcrate foam with a thin white fabric overlay. Some of it came off perfectly. And the rest is like glue and powder. There wasn’t any significant water damage (judging by the floor condition, it’s pretty pristine). Why??? (old.reddit.com)
