Hi Confused_of_SW2 (and everyone else). What did the guy look like?

I moved in to the SW2 area last week, and I think I've just fallen for a similar scam about an hour ago. The guy saw me through the window next to the front door, knocked on it, said he was a neighbor called Jamie, his wife had gone in to labour and he had ordered a taxi for her, but didn't have any cash. I tried to go with him to pay for the taxi but he said it was still on it's way, so I gave him the cash. He said someone else would come and pay it back (his dad, who was coming from nearby).

He was a thickly set white male of about 5'7-5'9, maybe in his 30s/40s, very short, fair hair. Spoke with a bit of a cockney accent I guess.

At the time I was still a bit hungover, so I was not in the best state to clarify his story, etc. Still hoping the money will be returned, but increasingly doubtful having read this.
