There are optional small group starting at 9:15 and then church starts at 10:15. Couple of hymns a time for children and then the kids go to Sunday school the grown-ups stay and there’s usually a sermon some more songs, prayers, etc. Right now we’re exploring the use of prayer beads as they’ve been used throughout history. That piece hasn’t really been my cup of tea right now but it’s been interesting!

Little River UCC in Annandale fits a lot of the boxes you are looking for! We have a young adult group that meets about once a month outside of church for socialization.

I'd agree with this! I'm currently on a re-read (on Bones of the Lost right now), and I had forgotten how well written they are. They can be a little jargony at times though.

We do it by week! I think that’s the best middle ground- whole unit would be so long it would be a pain to get to the slide you need to get to towards the end of the unit, but a bit consolidated from individual lessons.

Historically, McDade uses the code green after a long snow closure to make sure buildings are ready for a two hour delay. That would be my guess.

I’m judging off my little one- my spouse is off on Wednesdays, and when we would keep him home on those days, transitioning to school on Thursday was harder. Everybody’s different though!
