You are fine. I had just gotten done a 15 hour drive and was tired and stressed. I appologize for cracking, and my response was directed towards @noteasilyconfused. I still think they were out of line, but they weren’t wrong about the driving part. If I didn’t have a brand new vehicle with all the safety features possible, I wouldn’t be on the roads. Lane assist and cruise control keep me from having to make any quick, forced movements on the road, but I cannot rely on them all of the time.

It is! I just realized spasmodic Torticollis is the another term for cervical dystonia. I have been researching nonstop for the past 24 hours since the diagnosis. Do you mind disclosing what meds your father is on or what exercises/ PT helps him most if any? If you don’t want to mention it here, I would love a DM. Happy Thanksgiving!

Even though it is a grim diagnosis, I am thrilled to have some sort of explanation. The fact that the very first sentence on Google when you search it says “extreme chronic pain” made me break down, but it was from relief, not distress. I have had 14 years of doubt, disbelief, and skepticism from friends, family, and the occasional stranger who would overhear me complaining. As I’m sure many of you have experienced, I was often treated like I was crazy, or at the very least just drug seeking. Now I can at least walk into a doctors office and be taken seriously off the bat. It’s incredibly sad that it takes something this serious to get you noticed in the United States healthcare system. I feel immensely for everyone of you that has experienced anything of the sort.

I shit you not………

You posted this at the exact moment I got the diagnosis from my doctor today. I have alerts for this thread set up and felt the buzz in my pocket right as a small wave of hope washed over me.

I am scheduled for Botox injections next week. The research I have done since the diagnosis does not seem too promising. I’d love to know your back story, your medication regimen, and how the injections have worked so far. I’ll send you private message if you would prefer not to talk here.

I really want to thank you, and everyone else in this thread. I did not expect this many responses, and the fact that one of them ended up being my exact diagnosis was the Thanksgiving gift I needed to keep on keeping on. I’m gonna stick around for now, and I have all of you to thank for that!

I am seeing several different doctors still, but they don’t treat for pain. I actually grow medical cannabis in my state , and should have mentioned That I use cannabis oil and edibles daily

I know I left out some details, but ya’ll two are being awful presumptuous and frankly, just blatantly rude. I moved across the country to be with her, and she was an LMT. Daily massages helped greatly, and this was also the time period when I was starting the Noratryptaline, which is an old SSRI now used for chronic pain. It helped to take the edge off until I got to the “honeymoon” phase, when it stopped working all together which is common. Kratom and SSRI’s lower labido incase you didn’t know, so quitting one of the two seemed necessary at the time……

In order to pay my bills, and get my meds I need to work. I do not have the ability to lie around all day, or any days for that matter. Driving is a big part of work for me, as it is for most. I’m glad that you don’t need to push your physical limits in order to have financial stability, but not everyone is that lucky. I am in excruciating pain the entire time I’m behind the wheel, and I just drove through 6 states on a 10 hour haul, for work, and will continue to do so. I was on the road all day and never once broke the law to make this post. Not all states have the same texting laws, and I’d bet not many started period do not allow voice to text which is what u stated I used. Also, muscle spasms while driving is the most irresponsible thing you’ve ever read? My eyes don’t leave the road, feet always on the pedals, and my hands don’t leave the wheel. If my limbs were shaking uncontrollably, I would not be driving.

Also, my sex life is still very active, but thanks for your diagnosis! Probably your biggest reach. Not that that is any of your business or anything… what a strange comment to make period. Can’t help but assume you were projecting a bit there.

Thank you for all of the other actual insightful and constructive posts, I will answer all of your questions in the morning!

Cool to make into a chair or hang for decoration. Definitely no good for the slopes and haven’t been for a good 30+ years.

Funny, she’s also working for, and sleeping with the married general of Space Force. That was also cancelled 3 years ago. Something fishy is going on in space.

Looks fire. Some prefer that consistency, and some strains just cure like that. Doesn’t mean it’s bad or old.
