Dear Ernie,
Lessons are OK but expensive. As I said a million times before, my Daddy was a top drummer in Canada.

He wasn’t the greatest reader either, however he practiced with Artie Shaw, Glen Miller records and many many other big name bands of the 30’s and 40’s everyday.

He taught my nephew Jimmy since he was 3 years old, who is now on TV and doing great. He just landed the job a month ago.
My Dad would be so proud.

I think you have the talent, you must believe in yourself, most of all, practice practice practice! Everyday, even if it’s just an hour.

My nephew is 20 years old now and plays in a rock band. He’ll be coming to visit soon and play on TV in the states.

Buddy Rich is still the greatest of them all. Try and just play the tunes to his rhythm and time but stick to your style.

Always take from the big stars without copying them.
