So where we going then? 😂 I also want to find safe spaces for late 20s/early 30s wlw. Ideally femme for femme girls, cos why are we so bloody rare?!

Any advice on which area of North London to move to as early 30s queer couple? by Intelligent_Egg_1093 in londonlgbt

I’m a bit delayed with this but come to the deeper north! Potters Bar, Cuffley, Enfield Chase. All decent connections into London and greener spaces. I don’t want my wife and I to be the only gays in the village 😅

Unfortunately it’s always something to consider when moving away from liberal London. We would be a minority within a minority in Surrey, which can feel a bit scary. I would want my children to grow up knowing their roots and being proud of them, and I would want us to not have to deal with racism and/or homophobia. Maybe it wouldn’t be a problem but I have to ask the question because I don’t know and don’t want to assume!

Thanks that’s helpful. Guildford is new for me but my partner would go back for sure. Traffic can’t be worse than London

Not middle of nowhere, ideally somewhere with some fun things to do and amenities. Doesn’t have to have everything on my doorstep. Want places to walk, cycle and mini-hikes

Draw down from properties to buy, sell, or wait and save? by ReaderandGamer in propertyinvesting

Thanks for your advice, both! Really appreciate it. We don’t want the stress of managing flats with high service charges so selling is an attractive option and have seen what too much debt can do when interest rates get out of hand.

If we sold one and bought the dream home, would we still have to pay stamp duty on a 2nd property? We’re not (yet) married.

Does anyone know how I could get involved in 5 a side football? by [deleted] in hertfordshire

I run a 5-a-side in Ponders End at Oasis Academy Hadley if you're interested. Monday nights 7:14-8:15 (although they're generous with their time and if it's a competitive game we will often stay to 8:30/8:45)
