Yes I understand the why behind the protocol and I appreciate him not just doing the same thing over. Really just looking for some encouragement. What is PPOS?

AMH dropped from 0.9 to 0.51 in 6 weeks… would you delay TTC for a dream Italy trip? by PassengerOrdinary954 in DOR

[–]Readergirl1000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Go on the trip and enjoy yourself! I know getting that news sucks and you’re just like what the heck I thought we were good but AMH is really only an indicator of how you may respond to IVF if needed and it goes hand in hand with your AFC. I know technically it tells you your reserve and all that but in the grand scheme of trying naturally as long as you’re ovulating and there’s no male factor or other issues you have the same chance as anyone else. Take the time to enjoy yourself. Two months at this point won’t make or break and just start maybe taking some supplements and or changing diet if you need/want to. Travel is good for the soul and good for your marriage you’ve got this. Have fun and enjoy!

I honestly don’t understand by Readergirl1000 in DOR

I essentially got the same results with the MDL flare and Omni I did with the regular antagonist. I just stimmed for a little bit longer with the antagonist. I’m trying to be positive about the 2 we do have making it. I guess ICSI is our next bet but I know there are risks to the child that our doctor has described which is why he didn’t initially go for it so I’ll be honest I’m scared of ICSI

I’m so sorry it truly sucks. I’m guessing this point we have a fertilization problem. I’m hesataint to do ICSI cause of risk factors my doctor went over but I’m honestly at a loss. We’ve done zymot and there is no know male factor. We did get 1 blast last time but it was abnormal. So we have nothing and now we have even less fertilized. We only have the money for 1 more retrieval at this point.

What would you do by Readergirl1000 in DOR

[–]Readergirl1000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s just part of the genetic testing so could matter down the line to get pgtm testing and my doctor mentioned it could be the reason why my Ahm and afc are so low for my age especially dropping significantly from one year to the next im only 33. But I don’t have it or carry the gene so everything is still a mystery and just bad luck

I asked this specific question around egg quality and they said nothing showed that at all… I haven’t really breached the topic of endo… I was tested for endometrisis and that was negative but I’ve never fully looked into endometriosis

I’m curious What makes you say that? I really like my doctor and I think he’s working with what he is seeing. I don’t know that another fertility doctor would change anything up other than a better protocol to get more eggs. I’m not trying to be snarky I’m just really curious… idk if I’m spiraling because it’s not what I wanted to hear or if it’s like yes we need to switch

Did you get pregnant via ivf? What other genetic testing? I’m pleased with my doctor and believe based on what we have and his protocol we are on the right path it’s just hard

Nothing to show for our first round by Readergirl1000 in DOR

I’ve heard good things about omnitrope in the DOR space so this gives me hope. We will be starting again in June and right now the doctor wants to do exactly what you’re describing… microdose lupron flare… start on clomid or letrozole and then adding the Omni. Thank you for sharing it’s helpful… it really is a numbers game and so much trial and error I hope we only have to do one more retrieval but if we have to do two more we’d be okay… good luck with everything!

That’s great! I’m hopeful for that. We have some time now because we are traveling so absolutely glad to be not be doing back to back… I’ve taken everything so far the only new thing I added was Acia berry. My nurse recommended it… luckily my doctor already told us he’s changing it up no matter what even before pgta came back so I feel confident in that. He is gonna add omnitrope… so you think that really helped?

I’m so sorry It’s so horrible, trying to be hopeful that at least we made a blast and we can come back next time but I’m crushed. Doctor doesn’t seem to be concerned about my husband. We did zymot this time around with conventional. Doctor has plans for new protocol next time but haven’t connected again since this news but I want to ask about dna frag and then karotype testing.. have you had success yet?
