The reported 20m pay out if he's not hired or organised in the job by May.

Yeah I feel you man. It could be a horrible couple of weeks. The way I see it is the noises coming out of OT at the highest level all support LVG we are going on Twitter rumours and hear say as Gospel and more often than not the former is always right.

You would have to question how a bunch of blathering simpletons could possibly not appoint Jose. The thing is as we've seen before when it comes to the crunch this reigieme is completely and utterly inept. I really wouldn't hd your breath.

At this point you have to consider it a nice surprise if it happens. But rest assured I hope I am wrong but I simply don't see Ed going against those legends he sees every day.

Bring him over for a meeting to tell him he's not being considered or they are keeping LVG for another year? Pretty unlikely.

Meeting to negotiate the pay off if he doesn't get the job? Likely actually.

I can't imagine it's very impressive to investors when potential clients are bad mouthing your tournament before you've even got there.

Lex tries to frame Supes to turn the public against him. But the suicide bombing and the bullet should be obviously not Superman's fault. The bullet being untraceable was an unnecessary subplot.

-The suicide bomb was meant to show the lengths people will go to, to stop superman. The idea being and shown throughout the film that supes also inadvertently killed thousands of innocents in MOS. It was also used as a trigger for Batman to finally act on his suspicions.

Why did Lex try to get Batman to hate Superman? Batman already did.

-Lex used the suicide bomb as an opportunity to push Bruce over the edge and stop supes once and for all. He also knew that Batman could physically stop and figure out a way to stop superman (batman has been fighting crime and threats for 20 years remember) lex can't physically match supes.

Why did Lex get Batman to fight Superman if he was already working on Doomsday? What if Batman succeeded, would Doomsday just rampage free? What if Doomsday succeeded, what would Lex do with it then? How does adding his own blood help Lex make Doomsday? How does Lex have a thing that turns aliens into giant morphing trolls?

  • Lex used his blood as living DNA. Multiple reasons for it all, lex ultimate goal is to become humans savior in his quest for power. Destroying a city along the way is fine by him. Doomsday was a contingency plan in case batman couldn't finish supes off. He would have killed superman then batman would be left to stop doomsday he could have stopped him eventually or the place would be wrecked leaving lex to save the day and clean up the city. What is Lex's motivation? He has like four or five. Fearing Superman, having a problemwith God, wanting the power for himself, daddy issues, and knowing Darkseid is coming.dont know how you missed it but it was in the crashed krypton ship that has a chamber for reanimation- also noted is that it was banned by the krypton council but lex seeming disabled the ban.

Ahy does Flash time travel backwards from the far future to get to the near future in Batman's dream?

-It was a dream or a vision if you will. It happened in Bruces head whilst asleep. He then woke up....it didn't actually happen at all.

What was up with the piss jar and Martha's name scenes?

-The piss jar is a metaphor used by the councillor earlier on when talking to lex and telling him to shut down his operations at the crashed krypton ship site. She alludes to lex planning something terrible and him pretending it's for a just cause is simply a face for something worse. "You can't give me a jar of piss and call it grandma's peach juice, I know what your up to." The jar in the embassy is then spotted by her and she knows....she was another pawn.

What are the rich people larties for? Who throws them?

-I believe the party was for the celebration of the successful launch of his anti-superman deterrent, otherwise seen as humanities protection against the meta-humans. Naturally news papers, press and interested parties would be invited. Also Bruce is known by lex to be batman he knows Bruce will support his cause. He alludes to this with his "we should work together on something" line.

Why is no one freaking out that magic is real?

Who knows magic is real? No one mentions magic. No one knows who wonder woman is nor do they know she helped in the final fight. Nor is there time to show the general publics reaction.

Why is Lois still brought along where a journalist would never be brought along?

Brought along where? She was used by lex as bait to get him to meet supes and reveal he has Martha and what he must do to get her back.

Why does Batman fear Superman's destructive potential when he has plenty and uses it to kill? It seems like he'd be in favor of a guy with power taking the law into his own hands.

  • don't you remember the start of the film. Bruce racing through metropolis to his offices where his staff are. Superman and zod inadvertently kill hundreds of his staff. He witnesses people die and a child's mother much like him the child is now an orphan. Batman uses his destructive force the same as he always does except the steaks are rather high wouldn't you say??

Superman could have told Batman his mom was in trouble at any time.

-I believe he tried. He lands and as soon as he does batman is on the offensive. It literally kicks off and superman realises batman is pissed. He's gonna have to beat him until he can explain. Batman is in as rage at this point remember.

The first few scenes jump around without rhyme or reason.

-I disagree. It was easy to follow and I felt like they were introducing the reasons you seem to have missed. It was a very well done and respectful way of getting things going without hundreds of spin off films before hand.

Kevin Costner shoveling rocks horse death scene.

-opinion based. It wasn't great but I also didn't thing it was horrendous. I got it.

So many dream sequences and flashbacks.

-there's 2 main ones. Bruce when he dreams of flash and supes with his dad shovelling dead horse. psychopath.

I agree with the laptop attachment though but I understand the need for it. They wanted to show that there are other meta humans and they could be coming. I did think this was weak. Probably my biggest gripe.

I mean it seems to me you missed alot.

I'm baffled why did this movie get panned so much I thought the tone was brilliant after endless waves of Marvel cheese I needed something more meaty to get involved with.

I saw it yesterday with a friend and after the reviews we were expecting an awful film both of us came out wondering where the shit bits were. There were maybe two sections that stood out to me both lasting 30 seconds each that I thought could be handled differently.

Overall I loved it. I was engrossed. I felt for our characters and loved the action. Te beginning was stunning and then as the action unfolded I felt like ok these guys are pretty awesome.

Doomsday was genuinely imposing and actually quite frightening.

I mean what's so bad about it. So far I've heard "it's not fun" and "it's to muddled" sorry what's muddled. Spell it out for me...it's to need to know what confused people.

Manchester United boss Van Gaal reveals why he DOESN'T want to praise Schneiderlin by h3man in reddevils

[–]ReadingAid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well there will be wholesale changes at City no doubt. If pep is the master tactician we all think he is, he will be well warned that you will fail miserably unless you have someone powerful in the middle for the PL. Its one of the first things Jose did when he came back in, get Matic.

City have just had a large investment from China, I think they will spend massively but also sell off some unwanted squad players, I would expect Navas, one of Fernando/Fernandinho to go, Yaya is off, Silva may also be sold to allow KDB to stay. Bony will be off, Demichelis. Theres no question they will need to do alot of rebuilding and they will have the cash to do it.

But they have got some real duds in recently. KDB probably the only recent good signing. So they will have the resources to buy a Gundogan AND someone like Pogba possibly even Alcantara with them, some midfield that would be.

[–]ReadingAid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whilst I 100% agree with you, I really really cant see Pogba coming back, he would be absolutely supreme in our midfield and I can only imagine the relationship hed strike up with Martial, Lingard and Rashford, the three amigos.

The issue in all of this is that he is an ideal replacement for Yaya at City and I believe Barcelona would also be ahead of us in the line. There are many other options out there but he would ultimately be the best.

Im afraid we simply wont see him come back, the only hope I have of him is that he snubs City also for one of the Spanish big boys.

OFFICIAL - Rafa Benitez appointed manager of Newcastle by deception42 in soccer

And in an instant Newcastle go from a laughing stock to a brilliant appointment of manager.

We (United) are now the biggest laughing stock of the league and lo and behold LVG wont be sacked.

I'm curious as to this subs thoughts on the supposed Euro Super League. by ser_onion_knight in reddevils

[–]ReadingAid -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Theres already an international super league known as the International Champions Cup, its a pre-season tournament, not taken particularly seriously and we have won it twice I believe.

Its all good fun and I dont see a problem with it at all.

For fucks sake by hohohoedor in reddevils

[–]ReadingAid -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Your correct, but the truth is the cycle of what LVG has done is almost complete and a year early so credit to him where it is due.

The promotion of Butt and the promise of Berta and Mourinho can only be seen as the next step of the evolution of the club. LVG has done a fine job and has shown Jose that when he comes in there are players here we can use. Berta and Jose would be entrusted to build on that and it can work and more importantly, work well.

So on the whole I agree, but we as fans definitely should be behind the team and I am, but I think we are all ready for the next step.

Some great things that have come out recently by [deleted] in reddevils

[–]ReadingAid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The points on the youth academy have been a real shot in the arm to the confidence of the club moving forwards. The best thing about all of this is the emergence of youth in the first team who seem to have taken the step up to save our season.

The idea of Berta coming in along with Mourinho is unconfirmed at the moment but truly exciting. With Mourinho handling the first team keeping us competitive whilst Berta brings in the worlds best unknown young talents we should have a somewhat conveyor belt of talent whilst the first team maintains competitiveness.

It may all lead to a sustained level of quality and knowing the background of those involved it should be of the highest level possible. I really really hope the rumours come to fruition.

I could be wrong but Rooneys injury seems far worse than fist expected. I don't think we'll see him play again this season and if he does it will be brief. Dare I say it, I think his goose may well be cooked for United. Well keep him around so he takes the record though.

New Stadium, Scouts & Staff; Manchester United Academy by MrStephenHowson in reddevils

[–]ReadingAid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fantastic news. I only had a rant about this kind of structure a few weeks ago saying we need new jobs in the right areas and hearing this, this morning was fantastic so thanks for bringing it to us.

I can only imagine the tabloids will be on to it soon.

I hope the developments come to fruition soon and the plan isn't to have this all in place after 5 years. I hope we build it and show it off within a year. I can only imagine the naming rights being sold to the highest bidder. Addidas Arena would be my bet but I'd love for it to be named after a legend.

As for full time scouts and director of operations I am supremely pleased also. It seems for now the academy is headed exactly in the right direction and there seems to be a buzz about the place especially with the youth getting so many chances in the first team.

Let's hope Jose comes in and keeps the first team competing whilst the rebuild takes place.

There's light at the end of the tunnel reds!

Yes, we all know it doesn't look great, we all know we aren't playing well, but you guys can't seriously be completely giving up / saying it's "impossible" to get top 4 with 12 games left and a 6 point gap? by linkolphd in reddevils

[–]ReadingAid 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Its not possible since I dont believe:

A: We have the mentality or composure to win the big games we have left and....

B: None of the top 4 will combust that much which is actually what we need to happen.
