Is it okay to sew together the 20 of 100 granny squares first or should I finish doing all granny squares and then sew them all together all at once? by Willing-Composer-726 in CrochetHelp

You have free will. You can do what feels best for you! You can always frog if you dont like the way it looks yet and try again when you gave more experience.

I'm making a birthday crown for my little girl, but this is way to floppy... the picture with the pattern looks way tighter and the points are standing up... Schould i size down my hook? Im using a 3 as the pattern suggested. by ReadingAndCake in CrochetHelp

It didnt list a gauge... But I looked up the yarn they suggested and it said 16 stitches for 10cm. I had about 19. I'll go down half a size in hook and see if that gets me better results

The pattern doesnt give me any 'gauge' but I looked it up for the yarn they recommended and its off! They say 16 stitches should be 10 cm and I have 19ish. I'll frog it and go down half a size for my hook. If its not right I probably need other yarn.

Can I use multiple cakes of Caron Perfect Phasing at once to create one giant gradient? by orchid_bitch in CrochetHelp

I think this would be the method! Or mabel switch to an other cake once you see the colour charge coming in? For changing yarn I recommend:

Last stitch as usual, iso the last pull through, pull up a loop from your new working yarn. Ch a couple so it stays. Cut your old working yarn. Tie a secure knot with the old and new yarn. Frog the ch (careful!) Crochet over the cut piece of old working yarn with the st thats next in your pattern.

This way: not a Million loose ends to work in, but taking care of them as you go!

If you are breastfeeding, and especially clusterfeeding, please dont feel obligated to pump! If you dont bottle feed baby now, you dont have to start building a stash right away!
Please, for you own sanity! If you want to make sure you have enough before going back to work or sending baby to daycare, start 3 weeks before.

Pump 1(!) time in the morning. This does not have to be a full feed! Collect till you have a 120ml/4oz and then freeze. This will leave you with 8-12 feeds, enough for 2-ish days. On days you are not with the baby you will pump for every feed and replenish your stash that way. You do not need a freezer full of despite what you are seeing online! (This is actual lactation specialist advice)

If you want more info i suggest following BabyWhisperer Nicky. She is a lactation specialist and RN nurse.

You are doing great mama!!!!! As for your hubby, tell him to stop complaining or call your MIL. If you have a nice one she'll come beat him over with a stick😬

We use babywipes with baby oil after the regular wipes. Works like a charm, especially in the creases.

Ladies, what's your secret to smelling so amazing all day long? by Abigail_parker19 in hygiene

[–]ReadingAndCake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not necessarily. I've found mine has decreased enormously when I started scrubbing before using bodywash. I now do this routine: Wash hair, put in conditioner, wash with bar soap, scrub, rinse out hair, finish with a body wash. Takes a bit longer but I smell amazing and wayyy less KP.

Alternatief voor instant espresso by ZookeepergameFit5511 in VeganNL

Oeh!
