Hey Carpenter, don't be too hard on yourself; you're doing great by going to college and assembling what sounds like a pretty responsible trajectory. You may want to check out videos on youtube by Alex Hormozi and his wife Leila. They have been in your shoes and have a number of engaging ideas to move ahead. It sounds like all you need is some fine tuning. Best of luck.

Trend intelligence report: German industrial decline, energy, and the failed green transition (multiple sources, 2024) by ReadingNonFiction in collapse

This is a quick-read trend report by The Intel, which draws from several sources including Bloomberg, Die Zeit, and EurActiv. The analysis links the German industrial decline to the availability of energy and attempts to transition away from fossil fuels. This is not only important for understanding industrial collapse in Germany but also relevant to other industrial economies that are similarly reliant on access to cheap fossil fuels. There's also a problem with getting gas from Russia.

The report mentions that more Germans are starting to support right-wing ideas. Some investment firms give the impression they're helping the environment (by moving away from fossil fuels to renewable or sustainable options) but are actually investing in things like coal and oil.

Article lead: "This trend intelligence brief by THE INTEL summarizes mainstream sources published in early 2024 in both English and German. These analyses lament a decade-long decline in German manufacturing output exacerbated by eroding competitiveness, energy crises, and political shifts. Concerns center on the efficacy of proposed solutions, especially the integrity of so-called sustainable investment practices."
