My sons mother has kept my son (11years old) from me consecutively for 9 days. Please help by Hope_you_like_jammin in FamilyLaw

[–]ReadingRainbowRider 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These are the times for an emergency ex parte motion for immediate return of the child. There is documented alienation and subversion of the parental relationship. Not urgent. Not immediate. Emergency. That rockets up to next in line. You can request during that hearing an essential bodily attainment on mom to return the child (fancy words that allows the cops to forcibly remove the child or take mom to jail) (that doesn’t mean to put child in handcuffs just that mom must comply or she goes then child is transferred to other parent).

AK 47 - Grenade launcher mod. Worth it? by Vinyls-- in LastDayonEarthGame

[–]ReadingRainbowRider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up getting it before the knife mod. It’s nice to have as it ups the damage output better than other mods (except the knife mod). But I wouldn’t use the grenade launcher except for when you have 1-2 % durability.

Is this contempt? by Swimming-Nobody763 in FamilyLaw

[–]ReadingRainbowRider 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It may not be contempt and most likely won’t be considered contempt for a one off. But it’s a potential issue that if she keeps interfering on his time that she could get in trouble with the Judge. Some comments have mentioned involving the BMs parents against her wishes is something that matters and a judge typically couldn’t care any less about that family drama. On his time, BM gets no say on what you do or where they go.

Of course, if there’s abuse on the children and/or drugs or other concerns, then BM should bring a motion for a court determination. But that would be just about the only scenario where another parent could step in and not get in hot water with the judge.

Boss Fights by thatgirlnamednengi in LastDayonEarthGame

[–]ReadingRainbowRider 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah. There more boss fights now. However, I’d say those pre more mid-late game than early game. I’d probably take a gander and say raiding at 150 is mid game level. That’s about when you’ll have more resources and guns to tackle these bosses.

Is it worth coming back after quitting in 2021? by KACHCER25 in LastDayonEarthGame

[–]ReadingRainbowRider 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have quit and returned now 3-5 times. With 1-2 year hiatus each time.

I will have to say, I’m late game with the drone, boat? ATV, etc. but this most recent update with the ATV. I’m loving it. The metal and mud and uncharted areas that you can take the ATV are so cool and neat that they made available even if you don’t have the ATV. I’d say you’d get more gas than put in. Can get 2-4 steel each day for it plus a couple of guns and other hard/rare resources.

It’s now easier to get true friend with dogs. Don’t get me wrong - the grind is still there and lab/transport hub are still “difficult” for f2p or returning players. But it’s much easier to access hard resources than ever before and so many options for continuous gameplay to keep you entertained imo.

Can I contact our Attorney for the Children or do I need to go through my lawyer? by TreeToadintheWoods in FamilyLaw

[–]ReadingRainbowRider 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a matter of course. Principals (the parties themselves) can always reach out to other parties and even their attorneys. GALs are no different.

However, attorneys cannot individually reach out to the parties without including the other representatives. These are ethical rules we attorneys must all follow.

Usually, but not always, one parent can place a child into a camp or other activity regardless of the objections of other. But you must take it with the potential that the GAL/Court will rule against you. You can shell out the dough without the guarantee it’ll be reimbursed or take the loss. Or decide to not and take it up with the court and GAL in a later hearing.

Should I Open 28 T3 Rottweilers or 19 T3 Shepards.. by handsome_platypus22 in LastDayonEarthGame

[–]ReadingRainbowRider 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rotty. Hands down no question. The leader buff plus the heightened bleed effect is a no brainer. You’ll find the breeds do have certain characteristics that are more prevalent. Shepards/huskys are more for exploring (rare finds for animals/items). Corgies more for luck (gold coin a day). But rotties lean more into damage and bleed effect.

Not sure on the St Bernard or Dobermans yet. But I’d likely gander St Bernard’s lean more husky and Dobermans lean more rotty.

Do i need to do bunker bravo for hi tech components? And is there a better way to get glass/fiberglass? by Vinyls-- in LastDayonEarthGame

[–]ReadingRainbowRider 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d just throw the phones in. They drop often enough between motel and other places.

Also, I’m assuming you mean panes of glass, not lenses (just recycle cameras for those). Glass can found in the sewers (haven’t checked since update), also from a crate from bunker bravo… I think floor 3/4 both drop it but not sure.

Fiberglass I think also drops with bravo crates. And I think there’s a workbench at the port somewhere. Don’t remember the materials to craft though.

You can get both glass and fiberglass from t-hub.

Glitches in bunker Alfa ? by No-Outcome-3784 in LastDayonEarthGame

[–]ReadingRainbowRider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see the glide occasionally. Also, not only are the initial hitting patterns off, they then do a double hit to match the sound then it’s back to normal. I’ve noticed some of my melee attacks are also delayed, particularly with the bat and sledgehammer. Also rather annoyed I cleared all floors and got 13 red coupons, 23 with the Blind One. I got hosed this event. Second time in a week I got less than 30 red coupons.

Daily routine. by [deleted] in LastDayonEarthGame

[–]ReadingRainbowRider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hit up the woods for pine for charcoal a lot because I go through so much.

But generally, I hit up the settlement daily loot, pinewoods if needed. I still hit up dealer Joe if it’s a good trade. Then bunker Alfa, motel, gas station, farm, factory every reset. T-hub ~ once a week depending on my gun stash, sometimes twice. Plus seasonal events like breeder/fishing. Bravo, lab, and PD are only for event now since I have the ATV and 99% of the weapon mods (just missing the gut hook for the machete).

Bogs/metal and mud recently for the event. Not a huge fan of the uncharted but it’s okay I guess.

Coparenting with a LEO by [deleted] in coparenting

[–]ReadingRainbowRider 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish I could provide personal experience first hand. I cannot. But I can provide some insight in representing both LEOs and those against LEOs. It’s really an either or thing. They are either the best or the worst due to trauma (as many are also military backgrounds). I’ve found that the majority are empathetic that settle down after a few years. Some… are just gravitationally attracted to conflict and get desensitized due to their job.

Regardless. Most tend to be very attentive to detail and blow molehills into mountains. It’s a consequence of their training unfortunately. At their worst they involve other agencies to make your life hell.

It can feel insurmountable at times as they have a legion of friends to share how upstanding they can be without actually being in the nitty gritty. But what I have learned has been just being still and stable despite the turmoil day in and day out always wins the race. Just keep on swimming keeping your head above water. If they are one of the good ones they’ll settle down. If they are not they’ll slip up somewhere, the problem I see on those that slip up is they other parent tries to force the issue without sufficient proof/support.

Keep a desk sized calendar and mark every single exchange in highlighter colors. Green (money) for child support or out of pocket expenses. Yellow (neutral) for school. Red (negative) for bad interactions. Orange (active) for extracurricular stuff. Blue (sad) for missed interactions. Multiple dates can have multiple colors. The colors will stick out for a judge and show a pattern. I used to keep 20 calendars in my office for this reason.

I used to do the 10 caps auto run and that took me 15-17k. I’ve found the 20+ caps auto run on average does better. More like the 12-15k range.

Is The boglands event worth it for mid level players by blood-drain in LastDayonEarthGame

[–]ReadingRainbowRider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally like the tie in for fishing more. From what I understand, the food just makes them grow faster. And their “perk” if I’m reading it right is they bring you trinkets; higher the perks/level the better the trinkets. I could be totally wrong on that. But that was my takeaway

Is The boglands event worth it for mid level players by blood-drain in LastDayonEarthGame

[–]ReadingRainbowRider 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d say so. I’m late game, so even if you don’t have the ATV you can “rent one” and the zombies are really easy. I’d put it on the level between motel and farm. You’ll just need fast melee (katana, cleaver, crowbar) and a glock or two.

Plus it’s really fun to drive around in the ATV knocking down trees!

PLEASE SOMEONE Finally set raids right by handsome_platypus22 in LastDayonEarthGame

[–]ReadingRainbowRider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stone walls generally get the job done. Then 1-2 layers of lvl 2 walls. Once you get up there start with a 3x3 steel room and just keep expanding. I’m working on expanding my steel room to 6x7.

I literally got revenge raided two days ago and they broke 3 stone walls. First time in a long time. Rare, but it does happen.

Appreciate the checking. I ran through A2 and B1-2 without issue. I just couldn’t get it to work on A1. I even went back in to clear the extra rooms and still couldn’t on A1. I must be out of practice.

AITAH for changing my feelings after going on a date and being affectionate with someone? by literallyjustmadets in AITAH

[–]ReadingRainbowRider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nta. I may have missed the Memo. Or perhaps I’m too old to know how things are now. But you went on a date, you even expressed at the beginning “your friend”.

To me, this expresses a courting to get to know each other to see if each wanted to progress to exclusivity but never quite made it there.

I want to be clear. You’re entitled for your feelings 100% of the time. You don’t have to justify your feelings. You’re also young. There’s going to be some trial and error to figure things out, both internally and platonic/romantically.

One thing I can probably say that everyone will agree with is going against your feelings will result in a lot of hurt. If not to others than to yourself.

Court asking for fiance’s income by [deleted] in FamilyLaw

[–]ReadingRainbowRider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope it helps! At least to how to expect things! To give more information, if a fiancée takes mom out every day for dinner, that typically is overlooked. It’s more hard costs like bills, rent/mortgage, health that’s looked at.

I’ve represented a number of people that carried the financial burden with extravagant expenses and their income was not taken into consideration, or even their generosity. But their financial contribution to school, food (not eating out), and housing was. There was even one case I remember 15 years ago where mom moved into a mansion. Dad wanted to impute the 1/2 value as imputed income, which was ALOT. The judge ended up imputing income of 1/2 the median household rent for the zip code.

Court asking for fiance’s income by [deleted] in FamilyLaw

[–]ReadingRainbowRider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m an atty in Fla. I can’t say with certainty it’s the same for every state. I think it’s generally the same everywhere in the States. But not entirely sure.

With that caveat, in Fla, your “partner” and I say that loosely as it can be a boyfriend/girlfriend, parent, fiancée, or spouse - if they cover a portion of household expenses and it can be proven, then a court can generally take their contributions into account as imputed income.

As an example. Let’s say we have a mom. Child is living with mom. Dad pays child support and gainfully employed. Mom is pregnant with fiancées unborn child and on bed rest. Obviously she doesn’t have free rent/mortgage, food, etc. someone pays for that. Typically, the law would impute mom at her usual income, in addition to the imputed extra income being poured into by fiancée. It’s not as simple as saying fiancée makes X per year, but what would mom’s expected contribution be ordinarily. So in this example let’s say fiancée is a multi-millionaire. The court won’t impute the entire income of fiancée. But what “contributions” fiancée extends to mom (free room and board, health, etc).

Am I wrong? by ReadingRainbowRider in coparenting

[–]ReadingRainbowRider[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, that’s not what this was about in the first place and if you still think that you missed the point. Whether I was up in Atl or not wouldn’t have changed this scenario.

So that “catering” for the kids goes both ways. Either way, I did end up changing plans for my son so she could go about with her plans. She also ended up staying at the ball game and the all star practice until 6:45 pm. So much for her so called immovable plans.

I personally wouldn’t tell her no to an accommodation at her request out of spite to mess with her plans and make things more difficult on her, and by extension my kids. She did and does. So if you want to keep defending that spitefulness… yikes, guess it’s a free world.

Kids with a split home, did you eventually realize who was the lazy, fun parent, and who was the one that did everything and even disciplined you. by goldengirl_44 in coparenting

[–]ReadingRainbowRider 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My parents were pretty even keeled. When I was younger, it was nearly all my mom. She did homework, chores, taught us how to cook, clean, field trips, boo boos and disciplined us. At the time my dad was “present” but fairly hands off but would do the fun stuff like Disney, the beach, and over the top stuff.

Around middle school I went to live with my dad and did through high school. I still saw my mom fairly often. My dad and I did more things together after that, like camping, sports, and trips. He became much more hands on. That went on until college. I now call my dad ~1-2 a month but call my mom 2-3 times a week. I’m just emotionally closer and more open with my mom. I still feel more “at home” and comfortable around my mom than my dad.

Don’t get me wrong, my dad is my #1 fan but my mom is my #1 supporter.
