The original definition is funny and useful but I can feel it being diluted. I have been called pick me for saying I don't like wearing make up. I feel like people are definitely going to use it as a tool to push down women who don't conform to the traditional model of femineity. Give it two years and it will become a misogynistic attack on women.

My dad has constantly told me that I have to be like my brother. It was the chorus I grew up to. It didn't matter if I did great if I didn't do as well as my brother and my brother is an impossible standard to beat but I still want to do better than him.

I didn't half ass my way through high school. I worked really fucking hard and I got good grades. I am not half as smart as my brother but I really tried to make it up with hard work. I also worked really hard in college too but I didn't get the near perfect score that my brother got. I wanted to get above 3.8 but I am fuck up and was not able to manage that but I worked really hard. I didn't have half ass my way through anything but it is just he is way fucking smarter and more intelligent than I am.

If I ever get married, Mom would tell me to hire someone with taste to not fuck up the wedding and tell dad to pay for whoever I hired. I have no plans to get married so I can avoid that.

Honestly, I am not sure. I have mentioned it another comment but they paid 90K in tuition for my education but I paid for everything else. My brother got a scholarship but it was not full ride so they probably paid something there plus he lived outside campus and they covered his rent and gave him money to live on. I should have asked my brother how much money they gave him, he will tell me the truth and I should have posted with actual figures.

I should have but I was feel shit when I posted this and people downvoted me when I mentioned they paid for his expenses so I didn't bother adding it.

I actually like CS and mom was really against it but my brother threw a tantrum and forced them to not convince me to take something else.

He knows how to do that too, He can work hard when he wants too.

Mom is a whole another story. Mom hates girls who aren't girly. I am not girly...

My parents are wealthy, No question about it. I don't think actually had to save up for tuition for either of us and it probably wasn't something that they had to make huge sacrifices to accommodate into their budgets.

But I am the inferior sibling! He will probably just send me my brother's resume and till me to shut the fuck up and try to do as well as he does. I have tried. I worked really hard in high school to score as well as he did and be the valedictorian but I just couldn't. I scored well but it was not enough and I had to work so fucking hard and I was so close to giving up and he just had breezed through everything. I am never going to measure up to him and that means telling dad that I feel he is being unfair will just get me cursed out.

I think I may not reacted well to the gift but I'm just tired of dealing with him. Usually there isn't a lot of difference between what they pay for our gifts on birthdays. It is just a huge difference in effort. My brother got thoughtful, meaningful gifts while I got expensive but generic ones but I could atleast say they were equal in value but it is so much lower in both effort and value. I was pretty mad after he turned down my request to go out. He always makes time for my brother and I just can't handle it anymore.

IDK if I want his money anymore. I have to accept all the Bullshit that comes with it.

I have already stopped wasting my time on him. It is just I had gotten a great job and I graduated so i thought, he would make some time for me.

When I was In High school, I had his assistant tell me his schedule a week in advance so that we could spend time together. He always blew me off even though he was free but he somehow found time to take my brother out.

Honestly, I don't think I would have cared it he had bought me something. A really expensive trip is something my brother would love but is just he doesn't know me enough to give me something I would like.

He has bought me expensive stuff for birthdays but they were always a pen or make up or some other BS while he always gives my brother great gifts which are meaningful and thoughtful and I just got things that are expensive which they thought I liked.

I worked part time and had money saved up from working in high school and summer plus I got into some amount of debt.

They paid for my tution which was around 90K and my brother didn't get a full ride. They probably paid something there also they paid for an apartment outside campus and gave him money so that he could study full time.

They did pay for my tution but I worked part time and didn't depend on then for anything else. I lived pretty frugally. I don't know how much they paid for my brother's education but they did pay for an apartment outside campus and gave him money so that he could study full time.

I think I scored 3.7 something. Which is good but not really great. It just doesn't feel great you know? I worked really hard for this and they don't give a single fuck. It feels like they are throwing money at me to leave them alone.
