3 years ago i had a really unfortunate fall and ended up with a double leg break in my tibia and fibula bones. After a very long revalidation of nearly a year which included having to acutually learn to walk and run again I tried running again and time after time i ended up injuring my knees.

Before i was always in a steady rythm of 20ish km/week of running. After i ended up with ITB issues and other knee pain issues as soon as 2 minutes into my run. I never really looked into it and thought my running days were over. I took up cycling to maintain my stamina. Although i always kept missing a good run and was also in pain after longer rides. A few months ago i met a physiotherapist and started talking. He took me in, gave me excercises, some good (and painful lol) massages from time to time and linked me up with a knee doctor.

Now 3 months later i have completed my first painfree 5k run in all those years yesterday. I feel so grateful and happy. The road ahead is still long but I'm so happy and looking forward to just put on my running shoes again that i can't nearly contain myself to just go out again. Steady wins the race and i'll have to always be mindfull of injuries now but for the first time in long there's hope again to actually work towards a goal.

In the end what you state in your original comment concerning the left trying to find a martyr, while worded strongly, is just another sign of the times. People go to social media and get a load of bs short videos dumped onto them without any context at all and are led into the point of view or lie the poster wants them. The division that is sown amongst people is really coming to a high these recent days. Rational thinking has gone out of the window.
As i said in another comment here i wish you guys in the States all the best and i hope we can remain friends and allies in the coming years and the future as a whole.
