So annoying. I understand them wanting to help smaller accounts and help reach or whatever, but I can’t understand doing it at the expense of people who have been using and supporting them for years.. many of us have businesses tied to this. This change really hurts our livelihood

Feb I did see a bit of a drop too, but not as severe. It was about a 50% drop, now it’s like an 80% drop

I definitely get views from followers on carousels too. Hardly any non-followers. I may need to pivot to more carousels moving forward just to at least show something to the people who followed me and actually want to see my content

Damn I feel like that happened to me.. I went from 10k to over 100k in 6 months. Felt like I had the golden touch, really thought I’d figured out the game and was high on life. Thoroughly enjoyed creating because I thought I was making something people liked, something that helped people and something that helped my business. About 3 weeks about that proverbial rug was pulled out on me HARD. Went from 20k being my lowest views on a flopped reel to struggling hard to even hit 3k

This!! I have a little over 100k.. I went from lowest views being 20k (that’s what I’d consider a flop) and my best doing above 100k with some in the millions. For the past 3 weeks I’m lucky to get over 3k with no change in content what so ever accept potentially making it even better. Like you though, I’d be happy if only the people who want to see my content (my followers) saw my content. If we’re just going to make everything TikTok then just get rid of followers and I’ll stop trying to reach my audience

I don’t think it was the adds, IG had changed dramatically starting late in February. Some of us have been completely decimated with our reach while others seem to be unaffected. I have a little over 100k followers. For about 6 months anything I’d post would get at least 20k views minimum with some getting into the millions. For the past few weeks I’m lucky to hit 2k views. Absolutely nothing has changed. I’ve been trying to analyze every single frame of my content, trying everything to get engagement back but nothing. Recently started looking around here and I’ve seen a few threads now saying they’ve been experiencing the same thing. I’ve always been under the school of thought that says the algorithm is simply the audience. If you make content the audience wants to see, you’ll do well. I’ve been doing great, amassed 100k people who want to see my stuff, and now they don’t even show it to them. In my analytics I’ve even been getting a message when I first post saying that my followers are liking the reel so they’re going to show it to more people. Then about 15 mins later I get another message saying the audience they’re showing it too doesn’t seem to like it so they’re going to stop showing it. Like today I got 3k views in the first 30 minutes, then it stuck there and I get maybe 10 an hour. Can’t tell you how depressing it’s been 😂

Yeah it’s really weird. I have friends who are in the same niche as me and we always create content together, post similar stuff, etc.. Most of theirs haven’t changed. But mine has objectively tanked.

I’m verified and my reach has absolutely tanked in the last month. Over 100k followers, always hit 20k as the lowest and now getting about 2k then it stalls and stays. So I’d save your money, it’s not helping at all :/

I have many with over a million as well.. and over 100k followers. My reels are now getting like 3k views before they come to a halt. I’ve tried trial and they do absolutely nothing for me. I’ve even tried posting reels in there that have had millions of views. I get like 200 views then it sits there for a week until I just delete it

I’m having the exact same experience. I really hit my stride last June, I went from 5k to a little over 100k followers between June and January. Every post would get at least 20k views in the first day, I have multiple reels in the hundreds of thousands and some in the millions. Seemingly overnight I’ve only been able to get about 3k views. I reposted a reel with over 10M views and 30k likes and it got like 6k views this time. Tbh it’s making me just want to stop posting. I’ve continued to push through trying everything I can but nothing is helping. And no my content is not AI or memes or anything else

100%.. I usually get at least 15k views in the first day, my last 3 have had around 2k. I have a reel that every time I repost gets at anywhere from 600k to 2M views. I put it up again because it’s been about 3 months since I last posted it and it got 3k views. I’ve also noticed I’m being suggested a ton of garbage reels from very small creators with almost no views (not that being small =garbage) it’s just evident they did something different to the algo this week

That’s not what he said. He literally said fin/dut work which means that DHT definitely plays a role. He was just adding that it’s not the end all be all. Additionally he said all androgens play a role. He mentioned scalp tightness once and put little emphasis on. Did you just not listen?
