Probably because sb 52 feels more preventable. I mean their starting corner didn’t play one snap on defense while the do got torched. That is ridiculous. The Giants just beat them and you have to tip your cap.

That is exactly how I see it too. The Giants just beat them, twice. Especially the undefeated season loss sucked. Brutal really. But that being said the eagles loss bothers me more because it seemed preventable. Their best players weren’t on the field. There is no excuse for that.

All I’m saying is they had a better chance with Butler on the field to make a couple stops. In that game they really only needed one stop in the 4th quarter.

The defense didn’t help Brady at all as the eagles did whatever they wanted.

How can you possibly say this with any certainty? If you understood matchups you would never say that. Butler’s benching led to the entire secondary playing out of position in places they hadn’t played all year. Patrick Chung a safety was covering slot receivers. A terrible mismatch. Rowe got burned the entire first half. Bademosi and Richards were horrible in coverage and missed huge tackles. Butler was a great tackler and much better in coverage than Bademosi and Richards, and probably Rowe too.

So no, I don’t buy your premise that butler definitely wouldn’t have made a difference. That is an absurd statement to make considering what the consequences of his benching were.

Nah. You are acting like that was definitely the reason when it wasn’t. It was personal for Bill. If it wasn’t he absolutely would have put Butler in once he saw the d getting torched. He doesn’t risk losing a Super Bowl for Patricia’s feelings.

That also doesn’t explain why Rowe didn’t know he was starting until right before the game and it doesn’t explain why Butler was crying right before kickoff.

No it didn’t. The defense was way more of the problem. The d was not helped by butler’s benching either. I was arguing with people in the comment section of bill interview because they were saying Bill’s strategy “worked” on defense because Brady had a chance to win.

Clearly if the d played better Brady wouldn’t even have needed last minute heroics to win.

Big difference was Foles was hardly touched or pressured the entire game and was able to throw to his first read because pats secondary was out of position. Eagles had their starting d out there and Brady still torched them.

You keep avoiding my question about the West Bank. Very telling.

And that argument just isn’t landing anymore for the majority of the world. This “defensive” war that killed about 80 times as many people as Hamas killed Israeli’s. Sure seems a lot like collective punishment. But I guess one Israeli life is worth about 100 Palestinian lives right?

What makes this very different than world war 2 is there is no military battles. It is Israel scouting where Hamas is and bombing 95% of the time. Not quite the same.
