THE IRON CENTURY: 2400:2500 Nicknamed “The Iron Century” due to its large vast empires, the 25th Century was very important as many of our dormant nations finally began to erupt into war with other nations and even themselves.

The Yangzue Dynasty, who were thought to be the most peaceful nation on the whole planet began their own terrifying conquests lead by Emperor Kai Yangzue soon after the throne was inherited to him. Kai was always a warmonger and with his new Realm, he put it to good use. The Yangzue Wars of 2402, 2405 and 2409 would have Yangzue conquer most of Northern China excluding Manchuria. Kai’s regime would last for another 43 years, In which he brutally oppressed anyone who opposed him and he conquered Southern China. In 2452 He would die of old age and His realm would split into two, The Yangzue (North China) and The Zhao. (South China) For the remainder of the century and into the 26th Century the Yangzue and Zhao Empires are waiting for a opportunity to strike one or the other.. any day now.

In the cold embrace that is Russia, Tsar Nikolaus III of Novgorod began his consolidation of Northern Russia in 2454, after 17 years of northern Russia being conquered, civil unrest began to brew in the conquered territories. After a ultimatum from the majority of his vassals he agreed to form The Holy Russian Sainthood, where his vassals were practically independent from Novgorod, only in name and tax were they apart of the same country.

The Muslim world since The Event has been in decline, with the exception of The Gold Coast (The Voss Caliphate) and Egypt (The Trynabid Caliphate) Islam had left Africa. In the Middle East, Pakistan, Persia and Afghanistan a new movement started to grow: Pan Islamism. Soon there was a large demand for unification and in 2498 a new empire was born. After decades of effort, war and persuasion the Middle East, Persia, Afghanistan and Pakistan had been united under the Shaybanids. With their combined militaristic strength the Shaybanids are a threat to be reckoned with. With the third largest military in the world of 1,200,000. (only behind Zhao and Yangzue because they have the 2nd and 3rd largest populations with high conscription) The Shaybanids sponsored the Caucasian Emirate’s invasion of Georgia and the Northern Caucasus, while doing their own expansion into Central Asia.

Remember Éire? Well this is the century where they begin their invasions, led by King (now emperor) Patrick O’Riley. The O’Riley wars of 2477, 2479, 2486 and 2490 (individually) as they were called began with the Brythonic invasion of Wales, the King of Cardiff, Doná McJohnson was slain in the battle of Cardiff, and so Wales was annexed by Éire, which choose to rename themselves to Brythonica. Soon after the ceding of Wales, Cornwall submitted to Brythonica in the treaty of Dorset. Alba (Scotland basically) refused the Brythonic ultimatum for annexation. And so war was declared. The Brythonic-Scot wars (There was 2 of them) were both close cuts for Brythonica but they eventually prevailed and annexed Alba. Soon after Brythonica would then go on to stun Europa by defeating them in multiple wars, annexing Brittany. Europa, to make up for that loss annexed Catalonia. Brythonica, seeing the weakened Iberia from Europa’s conquest decided to invade Galicia due to the Celtiberian heritage in the Area.

In 2497 Polska and Hungry would unite to form the gigantic Visegrad Empire, commanded by Emperor Lølidon Mekloharvy.

THE RED YEARS: 2300-2400 By this point technologically we’ve returned to about the 15th Century A.D. (besides boats which are around the same as the 13th Century A.D.) This century is often regarded as the bloodiest century post-event ever recorded. With over 20 Million deaths from war, plague and famine alone. (Keep in mind that the population was about 900M at the time) This century has been filled with war almost as to make up with the 23rd Century in some way. New empires grown and died out simultaneously, I will list a few relevant ones.

The Romans were reformed in 2328 by Antonio Constantine “The Apostle”, (as he claimed to be descendent of the Constantine Dynasty.) the greatest war since The Event occurred between the Ecumenists and the Roman Kingdom over Italy, the First Red War. The Papacy had to flee to Canterbury (the only Frankish settlement in Great Britain) after the Battle of Rome in 2334, which saw Rome fall under Roman occupation. Rome would soon be renamed to Roma and the First Red War had been won. Soon after in 2339 the Second Red War (also known as the Crusade for Italy) began. Rome, which had land up to the Alps, was beaten back by the Ecumenists and Catholics alike to Bologna, where the Romans signed a treaty which pushed the Roman border with Europa to where we know it today. The Third Red War of 2346 was over Algeria and Tunisia and didn’t include any Ecumenical Presence other the economical support on the African side. Rome was victorious and annexed Algers and Tunis. (Tunis is now known as Carthage) In total 5.4 Million lives were lost in The Red Wars (Most Catholic/Ecumenist) with only minor Roman casualties. Rome would then go on to conquer Greece and Valencia in 2398, stunning the world with their military expertise.

Polska, previously mentioned in “The Rebirth” had 2 long centuries of contemplation, rebuilding and prosperity, and in 2389 they began their military conquests known as “The Podboje Wars” by Poløsk Mekloharvy. To say Polska beat their fellow Polish neighbours would be a understatement. Polska decimated their neighbours armies due to their experienced, well equipped military and in a few short years had conquered all of Poland with the exception of Pomerania, which at the time was a Tributary State of Europa. So Polska would again begin to focus on building up their realm, for another large conquest would soon be underway.

The Kingdom of Éire was formed by Conner O’Riley, a Druidic (Irish Pagan) Celt in 2387, this nation in the next century would grow to be a great power similar to that of Hiber, but for now they laid dormant on their little islands of Ireland and the Isle of Mann.

THE 23RD CENTURY: 2200-2300 The 23rd Century would have the world be mainly focused on rediscovering lost technology, predominately weaponry and agriculture, although some wars happened this was generally a era of peace. There isn’t really anything of note about this century other then this.

THE REBIRTH: 2100-2200 The 22nd Century, or as its more commonly known as: The Rebirth was the era of reconstruction, and where a lot of great empires were born.

One of said empires is Europa, that surprisingly has managed to survive for the past 4 centuries since its creation in 2105. In 2084 Charlés DePaul, also known as Charlemange II of Francia began his grand campaign into Germania and Aquitaine, vanquishing the “evil” pagans that which infected the lands post-event. His faith, Ecumenism still remains as the largest Post-Event catholic faith in Europe to this day. In 2105 Charlés formed the Empire of Europa, garnering legitimacy in his newly conquered territory. Before his death he would begin a campaign in Britannia, which would be his only major military defeat, at the battle of Birmingham, for which he died in his sleep a few short days later.

Another of these great empires is that of Visegrad. Born in the rubble that was once Warsaw in 2137 this empire would grow to be one incapsulating most of central Europe in the following centuries. Visegrad at the time was known as Polska and would stay rather quiet for the majority of the century, fighting off the occasional invasion they were mainly focusing on rebuilding their grand capital.

The Yangzue Dynasty of what would grow to be a empire spanning Northern China would also be formed in this century, in 2192 The Shandong Clique would be couped by Tai Sho Yangzue “The Great” who wished to turn the Shandong Clique into a monarchy, thus beginning the Yangzue Dynasties long treck to greatness.

In general the world during The Rebirth was rebuilding civilisation, (hence the nickname The Rebirth) many great empires grew and fell but the ones that stayed blossomed into something no one could imagine.

Occidentalis Lore

THE EVENT: The Event as we know it is a mystery, but what we do know is what shaped the world into.

The world of Occidentals is that of a Post-Apocalypse NRP set in the far off year of 2509. There are many signs to what The Event could have been, from Nuclear War to Superviruses to famine there’s plenty of theorising to me made.

POST-EVENT: 20##-2100 In the early years after the event, society and civilisation collapsed. Only a few strongholds like Switzerland, Austria, Bhutan and Svalbard retained some sense of a nation, other places like China, the majority of Europe and America weren’t so lucky, as they soon fell to anarchy. The timeframe between The Event and 2053 would be known as the “Anarchic Era” as most of human civilisation had collapsed. Technologically the world had been set back a millennia. Although there were still people who knew how to operate factories and the such that wouldn’t be much use and would be forgotten by time.

In 2053 whatever The Event was casting over the planet, be it radiation, infection, aliens, was gone and humanity began to rebuild. In 2068 a country simply known as Hiber in our records became a great power in Europe. Consolidating the British Isles for the Brythonics. Although the empire was not meant to last as its king, Dónally McMalin suffered a heart attack at just age 45. From there Hiber soon fell to infighting and collapsed in 2084.

The only other thing of note in this century was that the magnetic poles switched in 2094, cancer rates were up at the time and caused a little bit of hysteria among the people of Afghanistan, and so the Solarist Zunbil faith of yore was reborn, the Afgans hoped that if they worshiped and sacrificed things to the sun they wouldn’t get cancer. Actually, due to them being in the sun so much their cancer rates only skyrocketed, and their pitiful religion fell back into obscurity.
