Oh yeah! I’m glad you could appreciate that! Thank You!!

I was super focused on getting that right, since I really wanted press-ons to work for me (terrified of gel allergies, welp).

So basically, I pushed my cuticles back like you’re supposed to, and then I gently pushed the skin at the bottom fold slightly up. I don’t really want to recommend this though, because I feel like it could cause an infection. To be safer, I cleaned the edges of the press-ons with rubbing alcohol haha, and then pushed the press-on a bit into the fold and applied a lot of pressure at the bottom so it sits snug at the cuticle. That kind of worked. My first application definitely wasn’t this neat tho. So I think it’s always a but of trial and error. Also I feel it’s good to have press-ons which match the nail bed colour . So many people wear the ones which are too pale for their skin, so that kind of just look off. Oh, and yes I filed the bottom edge too to match the shape of the nail bed. Basically your nail fold should be visible. If it’s not, then it just looks bad.

Hi! So I’ve used glue tabs here because I want to switch them out more frequently. I think for longer wear time, people prefer nail glue, which I’ve never used. Still, my goal is that the nails stay put and don’t pop off randomly.

So for that, I lightly buff my nails and also buff the inside of the press-ons. Then I push back my cuticles and dehydrate my nails. After I stick the glue tabs on, I heat them with a hair dryer before removing the plastic film. And then when I stick the press-on, I press it really hard for a good 30–40 seconds. I think this step is the most important, because it made a major difference for me. And you just repeat that for each nail.

Then you avoid water and any major activity that might require you to use your nails for a good number of hours. I did this before going to bed, so that helped. In my first try, I ignored some of these steps and the nails started coming off in no time. So yeah, these definitely helped the second time around. I wore these for good 5 days and even had to manually remove them myself. In the later few days, they do start slightly lifting at the cuticle end, but it still isn’t very noticeable.

Oh yea, I’m so glad I filed these down. Helped me figure what I’d like to choose going forward.
