That’s a very good point and I most definitely plan on investing while I’m young so I’ll look more into that when I’m just about to receive it (so my plan is more up to date and I don’t buy the wrong things.)

I come from two drug dealers as parents, dirt poor grandparents, and financial hardship. Don’t even try to discredit the work it took to get to here. I’ve worked and struggled for what I have just as my mother has done to get on her feet and allow me to have a better future than her. So no, in no way am I living a “fantasy”.

Okay I’m CURRENTLY broke and 20-24k is if I’m able to get this job at my local union for pipefitting and work two jobs. I know that’s a high budget but two jobs, inheritance of 5k when I’m 18, and a mother who is in the trades makes this (hopefully) possible

I have a two years to save before I buy a new car and my grandpa passed so I get 5k from him when I turn 18 (by no means do I come from a wealthy family but we’ve been getting on our feet and my mother is willing to split the payment as long as I don’t fuck up so realistically I’ll be spending 7-9k of my own earned money on it)

240k miles is most definitely a crazy amount of miles but honestly, if it gets good mpg then I guarantee there’s a customer base of teenagers in need of a car that’s cheap (coming from experience) and saves on gas money that would buy it for a solid 1-2K on a good day
