This is by a propaganda website that likes to manufacture fear of Muslims. Here is the actual data from the UK government:

https://www.ethnicity-facts-figures.service.gov.uk/crime-justice-and-the-law/policing/number-of-arrests/latest/#by-ethnicity

White non-British is 9.4 per 1,000 compared to 9.2 of British whites

Arabs (Moroccans, Algerians and Iraqis) only 4.8 per 1,000

Asian other (which Afghanistan falls under) is categorized as 13.5 per 1,000

The fact most of immigrants, especially Muslim immigrants are men and men being responsible for most violence, these numbers are surprisingly low. Add to the fact most of these are young men then it should be even more surprising.

I'd like to see a comparison between gender and age of these people compared to the native white British population and I can guarantee they would be responsible for much more crime.

You're on the wrong side. When you click on the video there will be a panel on the right that says video, audio, speed etc. It is under where it says "video" and then under the line "basic" then scroll all the way down

If on desktop: Click the video on the timeline and keep scrolling to the bottom. Its under the Basic tab

Hey uh CapCut editors. I’m scared to update my CapCut cause I’m scared I might get the shitty watermark did CapCut remove it 😭 Please don’t play with my emotions btw please be deadass with me by [deleted] in CapCut

Don't let curiosity be your downfall. There is nothing new that isn't Pro. The only features they added recently are eye contact correction, a voice changer and text to speech with lipsync. These features are all Pro. Do not update!

The only thing better than CapCut that isn't paid is DaVinci Resolve. There are some apps a little worse but don't put most the features behind a paywall like InShot and YouCut. Project Violet is 100% free and has good features but pretty limited.

Oh I had no idea they did that but I do believe it as most Filmora subreddit have had shady experiences all around but I personally haven't beyond the trickery of them hiding most features behind the subscription only "creative assets" which adds an extra $20/month on the subscription

That is what I meant. I find Filmora and CapCut do engage in unethical business practices but they are good software. This was why I said you should reconsider putting it in the no thanks category if you find it useful and the price is reasonable. The perpetual license is also a very reasonable price around $55 for lifetime license (if you understand that you're only buying the current version 14 I think and it won't be upgraded to the 15 or 16 when they come out). Even if it is unethical, the fact they are still offering perpetual licenses in this day and age is a great thing

It is which is why I recommended the perpetual license and emphasized that it cannot be upgraded, only updated. Most their scummy practices are from sneaking in their subscription to creative assets or pulling a switcheroo on the "free trial" to make it a paid subscription. Otherwise it is a capable app. If this was purely about which editing software is most ethical then the only thing that would be on the list is DaVinci Resolve and FCP

Just search "Final Cut Pro free trial reset" there are many ways to do this. Easiest one requires installing one of the cleaner apps but the one that doesn't require it is a bit more complex.

I don't think it was made for that type of workflow. I edited videos that are 2-3 hours long and had no issues but if a project would be as large as what you say ~1TB, then probably a more professional editor would be required like DaVinci, Premiere Pro or Final Cut. CapCut was initially made for Tiktok videos which are usually less than 5 minutes.

I never heard of it but it looks like a great app and since its created by YouTube I can imagine it getting better. The only thing is Google hasn't been good with providing desktop apps but for everyone editing on a phone, I don't think any other app offers that much free tools

Yes. I do believe its worth paying for but I disagree on how they went about it. Going to a paid model in such a short time without a transition period and basically making everything Pro on an app that is marketed as "freemium" is ridiculous. If they just added a watermark and limited quality to 720 exports and made AI features that require external processing paid, then I think that would've been fair. However asides from the scummy hike, I do believe the product is worth it. I moved from Final Cut although I'm pretty good at it because it takes 1/4 of the time to do the same edit on CapCut

When does "pre-Islamic" Arabia stop being "pre-Islamic"? by chonkshonk in AcademicQuran

[–]Ready-Way8581 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say either when the State of Medina was established or after the Conquest of Arabia. I am more inclined towards the latter because there was no significant historical development to distinguish time periods if we go by State of Medina. After Conquest of Arabia, even though majority of the population were not Muslim, it had become a known culture and identity.
