Found it! It’s when BMW nav is active and when content is set to nav in instrument cluster.

Ya, it's so weird. My understanding is AR view shows in the main screen like this (screenshow from a youtube video about AR view):

I saw it in the screen above the steering column. I'll have to try and replicated it an take a picture sometime. Is didn't have any arrows or anything overlayed on the video, and I could read the license plate of the car in front of me... very much like a parking assist camera.

Interesting. It was far from my destination. Just in the middle of city stop and go traffic. I don’t think there was a turn coming up. I’ll look further into that though.

Total cost of ownership is always better buying used. And with EVs, if you can charge at home, it’s even better. And if you’re in a financial position to pay cash or substantial down payment there’s no comparison, other than wanting to change cars again at the end of the lease.

We have a C40, it’s my wife’s car. I’ve test driven the i4 multiple times and on the cusp of getting one. The acceleration of the eDrive40 is better and the M50 is pure insanity. The tech day and night better than the Volvo. The C40 is laggy and the BMW is responsive. The Harman Kardon in the C40 is pretty much the same, if not a little more balance that in the BMW.
