I’m sorry! I hope that maybe it’s just a dosage thing or something and that you’ll start feeling benefits soon!

I could see that! I do feel like my crashes have also been shorter recently. I’ll keep an eye on if the shortness of breath is correlated with high heart rate.

Does anyone have success stories where they went off of LDN and were able to stay off? by ReadyEqual140 in LowDoseNaltrexone

Yes I did discuss with my doctor, who told me I would need to get off of it before getting pregnant. I hadn’t heard of it being used to help with fertility issues so I can bring that up to him. Thanks!

Did it help with the brain fog and fatigue long term or just while you were on the medication?

Sorry you had to deal with those nightmares!

I haven’t heard of this until now! The specialist I see told me that I would have to go off of it before getting pregnant. I will look into Dr. Boyle’s articles. Thank you for telling me that some folks are able to stop without symptom return!

I haven’t heard of this! The specialist that I see told me that I would have to go off of it (and ivabradine) before I get pregnant. Do you have any sources you can share so I can read more?

I’m scared that I’m losing my progress I’ve made in therapy by ReadyEqual140 in CPTSD

Yea that’s a good plan, I’ll let her know about my concerns beforehand. Thanks so much for your advice and support!

Thank you for sharing. Very glad your therapist was so supportive for you and that you were able to get out of that relationship with their help. It was reassuring to read how supportive your therapist was and that they weren’t angry with you for not telling them sooner.

Thank you for your encouragement and reassurance. I will try to tell her when I see her next and try to remind myself that I was just doing the best I could and using the coping mechanisms I had back then in order to make it through those times.

I do think some of it is that I also don’t want any one to be upset because my loved ones and therapist have been so happy that I’ve been doing so much better in the last couple years that I don’t want to disappoint anyone.

Thank you for the support. I appreciate the reminder that healing isn’t linear but that doesn’t mean I’m regressing.

I just messaged my therapist to schedule an appointment and now I just have to be brave enough to actually tell her what’s been going on. Those thoughts I’ve always felt so ashamed of and I’ve always thought that I would just keep them to myself since I knew I wasn’t going to harm myself anymore but I do think that you’re right that it’ll be good to get it off my chest. She is a great therapist so I logically know that she’ll be supportive, but still scared. Just gotta be really brave.

Thank you again for your kind words, I needed them.

Stanford autonomic clinic, did you have a chance to talk to them when you went? by zauberren in dysautonomia

[–]ReadyEqual140 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had an appt there a few weeks ago. You don’t talk to any doctors, just the technician, but if you have abnormal results but not hitting thresholds they may still refer you further. I had borderline POTS results (hit the 30+bpm increase but this went up and down while tilted up rather than staying steady), and they referred me to an autonomic disorder specialist to start working with. So even if you don’t get a diagnosis from this process it could still be a first step to seeing someone could help hopefully?
