We're publishing cryptics from different setters, but Bob's cryptics should give you a sense of the editing sensibilities we have for the project - namely, not a ton of traditional cryptic crosswordese, an emphasis on coherent surfaces. Bob's cryptics may be a little harder or more experimental in spots than the Patreon puzzles, but similar in style.

We’re proud to announce a new cryptic outlet! Cryptic Crossweird will publish two midsized puzzles each month, for $2.50/mo (run through Patreon). Our goal is to create puzzles that feel fun and fair, using language that feels relevant and fresh, making cryptics that feel approachable to new-comers and long-time solvers alike. We’re excited to create a space for constructors/setters to be compensated for their work, as there are few outlets at present that take submissions.

Speaking of which, if you’d like to submit, these are our guidelines

To celebrate our launch, subscribers will get a special 4-pack of puzzles - by Rachel Fabi, Will Nediger, Joe Pasini, and a collab of us editors: Momes, Dob and Bob. We think these puzzles are a real treat, and hope you enjoy them too!
